c. Type 3: Unreal conditionals in the past

5. Cấu trúc với SO/ SUCH….THAT….(Đến nỗi mà…)
a. The weather was so hot that I stayed at home. (xuôi)
= So hot was the weather that I stayed at home did + S + V
● = So + adj+ Be (was/is…) + S + that + clause
So + adv + tro dong tu + S + V + that + clause
b. He ran so quickly that I couldn’t keep up with him.
= So quickly did he run that I couldn’t…..
● Such + was + S (NP) + that + clause
Ex: He was so hungry that he couldn’t go on learning.
= Such was his hunger that he couldn’t go on learning

6. Cấu trúc “It was not until…..that……. “ Mãi cho đến khi……………thì………….
Ex: It was not until I was 5 years old that I could speak.
Mãi cho đến khi (tôi 5 tuổi) thì (tôi….)
