Welcome Speech for Teachers Day – September 05, 2024
Ladies and gentlemen, respected Principal, esteemed colleagues, and dear students, good
morning to you all. I extend a warm and hearty welcome to everyone present here today to
celebrate the very special occasion of Teachers’ Day.
Dear respected teachers,
Today, we gather to honor and celebrate your invaluable contributions to our spiritual growth
and theological education. Your dedication, expertise, and passion for teaching have shaped us
into compassionate leaders, discerning scholars, and faithful servants of God.
In the words of Ephesians 4:11-12, says “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets,
and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for
the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.”
You are the embodiment of this scripture, equipping us with the knowledge, skills, and
character necessary to build up the body of Christ.
We appreciate your, Tireless efforts in preparing us for ministry. Wisdom in guiding us through
complex theological concepts. Patience in mentoring us through our spiritual journeys.
Sacrificial commitment to our growth and development
May your labor of love be rewarded with joy, fulfillment, and a deep sense of purpose. May
God continue to empower and bless you as you shape the next generation of leaders for His
kingdom. Thank you for being our spiritual guardians, academic mentors, and role models. We
honor you today and always.
On this very day, we come together to express our gratitude and admiration for the teachers
who have shaped our lives, enlightened our minds, and inspired our hearts. The role of a teacher
goes beyond merely imparting knowledge; it is about nurturing potential, instilling values, and
empowering the future. As we stand here today, let us take a moment to remember and
appreciate the teachers who have made a lasting impact on us and countless others.
Teaching is not just a profession but a calling that requires dedication, patience, and
compassion. Teachers guide us through the maze of life, helping us to make sense of the world
around us and discover our unique talents. They challenge us, motivate us, and support us in
our quest for knowledge and personal growth. Today, we honor their commitment and celebrate
their invaluable contributions to our lives.
Teachers are like guiding stars, showing us the path when we are lost and giving us the strength
to reach our dreams. They teach us lessons not just from books but also about life, kindness,
and respect. Without their wisdom and patience, we wouldn’t be who we are today.
I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every teacher present here today. Your selfless
dedication and tireless efforts have made a world of difference in our lives. As we celebrate
this day, let us remember the words of the renowned philosopher and educator, Dr. Sarvepalli
Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary we commemorate today: “The true teachers are those
who help us think for ourselves.”
