VI. RATIONALE
The Barangay Nutrition Committee will conduct Nutrition Class as planned included in the Barangay
Health Action Plan/Barangay Nutrition Action Plan in line with the implementation of the PPAN program
every year. It has a target of 15 or more mothers per class. The participants are composed of mothers
Of undernourished children, indigent families, pregnant / lactating mothers and other caregivers in the
Barangay.
The Barangay Nutrition Committee agreed to invite a staff from the Nutrition office, Asin Health Center,
NGO’s etc.
VII. OBJECTIVES
GENERAL:
To enhance knowledge and skills of the participants on Health care practices, Healthy lifestyle and proper
Nutrition.
SPECIFIC:
At the end of the Nutrition Class, participants will be able to:
1. Come up with decision which will help prevent malnutrition in the family.
2. Prepare low cost and nutritious food to improve nutritional status of their children and the whole
family.
3. Do some income generating project to augment family income
4. Promote a Healthy lifestyle to avoid Non-communicable diseases and
5. Aware of reproductive rights
