Name of the Project: Fauna of Ecuador "Preserve life"
OBJECTIVE: Students will research the fauna of Ecuador, focusing on endangered
species and conservation efforts, and develop phrases to protect one endangered
species.
Habitat: tropical rainforests of the
Amazon and in the lowlands of the
Andes.
Distribution: Napo and Pichincha
Characteristics: It is the largest
rodent in existence.
Length: 100 to 130 cm
Weight: can weigh up to 60 kg
Coat: The coat is long and rough.
Diet: They are herbivores, eating
marsh grasses, grasses and riparian
grasses.
Conservation status: is not
threatened
Threats: natural habitat destruction
