                                Scholarships
   A) DR. BIDHAN CHANDRA ROY MEMORIAL GOLD MEDAL
      This gold medal is awarded to the outgoing B.Tech.(Hons.)/B.Arch.
      (Hons.) student who is adjudged to be the best all-rounder (in semester
      examinations, activities in the Department, Hall of Residence and
      participation in Gymkhana activities) at the end of the eighth semester
      for B.Tech.(Hons.)or the tenth semester for B.Arch.(Hons.) degree from
      among the graduating students of all the B.Tech.(Hons.)and
      B.Arch.(Hons.) courses.        The distribution of weightage of different
      activities for determining the eligibility for the award is as follows:
              ¾ Academic record: 40%
              ¾ Departmental activities: 10%
              ¾ Activities in the Halls of Residences : 20%
              ¾ Performance under Technology Students’ Gymkhana : 30%

   B) Endowment Scholarships and Awards
      There are a number of scholarships and awards that are similar in
      nature to the BC Roy Memorial Gold Medal having multiple
      components of assessment. e.g., Sushma Mukhija Scholarship, M.B.
      Scholarship, ABS Scholarship, and recently approved “Kirttan B. Behera
      Best All-Rounder Students Award”. For such scholarships/awards, the
      distribution of weightage for different activities will be the same as for the
      BC Roy Memorial Gold Medal, and is given below:

Kirttan B. Behera BEST ALL-ROUNDER Student Awards
The Kirttan B. Behera Endowment award is intended for students from 2nd,
3rd, 4thand 5th year UG programs/2nd year PG programs who demonstrate best
all round performance based on Academics, Cultural activities, Art, Sports and
Games, Student activities and leadership.
    A) Number of Awards and Value
          ¾ Number of Awards per year - 4
          ¾ One award each to be selected from the Batches of
           1. 2nd Year UG Programs
           2. 3rd Year UG Programs
           3. 4th year UG Programs
           4. 5th year UG Programs (5 Year M.Sc./B.Arch.(Hons.) ) OR        2nd
              year of PG Programs ( M.Tech/MS/MBA)
          ¾ Value of each Award 30000 INR per annum
    B) Criteria
    Award will be based on the following activities with weightages mentioned
