Subject: Revised allocation of foodgrains under NFSAIPMGKAY from October


2024 onwards-reg.

Sir!Mam,
I am directed to refer to this Department's letter of even no. dated 13.05.2022
(copy enclosed) wherein this Department had revised the allocation of food grains from
June 2022 onwards. The matter has been reviewed regularly in consultation with FCI
and to ensure sufficient availability of wheat stocks in the central pool, the revised
allocation of food grains has been continued.

2. The matter has been reviewed again and the Committee of Ministers has
decided to revise the wheat-rice ratio and increase the allocation of wheat by 35 LMT.
Accordingly, the allocation of rice and wheat under NFSAIPMGKAY is revised in
respect of 09 States i.e Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra,
Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal as per Annexure-I from October
2024 onwards. In view of the existing allocation of Coarse grains, the allocation for
Gujarat & Tamil Nadu for October 2024 shall be as per Annexure-ll and from
November 2024 onwards as per Annexure-l.

3. The validity period for lifting the above-revised foodgrains for October 2024
under NFSAJPMGKAY will be up to 30 days from the date of issue of this letter. The
validity period for subsequent months will be as per extant guidelines of DFPD i.e. up
to the last date of the month preceding the allocation month.

4. If any quantity of food grains of the existing allocation is already lifted by States,
the adjustment may be done by FCI for the respective quantity from allocation of
subsequent months.

5. There is no change in existing Tide Over allocation.

6. There will be no change in cost-sharing on account of such distribution including
food subsidy, intra-state transportation and dealer's margin/additional dealers margin,
it will continue as per the current sharing basis.

7. This issue with the approval of the competent authority.

Subject: Revised allocation of foodgrains to all the beneficiaries under NFSA for a
period of 10 months i.e. from June, 2022 to March, 2023- reg.

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to say that this Department is making a monthly allocation of 43.62


LMT foograins which includes 24.00 LMT of rice arid 19.50 LMT of wheat. In addition, Gui
is also making a tide over allocation of 2.2 LMT foodgrains i.e 1 .57 LMT rice and 0.63 LMT
wheat.

2. In order to ensure management of foodgrain stocks as per norms, to position rice


stock for distribution of fortified rice, to ease the pressure on the logistics and after due
consultations, it has been decided to revise the NFSA allocation of rice and wheat under
MY & PHH category in r/o 10 States/UTs i.e Bihar, ,Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Delhi,
Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and under tide over

category in r/o 3 States i.e Uttarakhand, Kerala and Tamil Nadu for the remaining 10
months of the current FY 2022-23 i.e. June, 2022 to March, 2023, as per Annexure-1 & II.
The allocation of foodgrains to the above mentioned 12 Statos/UTs wUl be applicable upto
March, 2023.

3. The validity period for lifting of the above revised foodgrains for June, 2022 will be
upto 30 days from the date of issue of this letter. The validity period for rest of the months
i.e. July, 2022-March. 2023 will be upto last date of the month preceding the allocation
month.

4. If any quantity of wheat of the existing allocation is already lifted by States,


adjustment may be done for the respective quantity during the remaining period of the year.

5. There will be no change in cost sharing on account of such distribution including food
subsidy, intra-state transportation and dealers margin/additional dealers margin, it will
continue as per current sharing basis.
