Help a virus find its perfect match! Y ou will be working together in small groups in order to create
either a dating video or a dating profile poster for a particular virus that is looking for its host cell.
Instructions! F
irst, you will need to pick a virus. Any virus will do! Then, you’ll need to research and
make sure to include, within your video or poster, the following information about your virus -
- Name of your specific virus & any diseases it causes
- What kind of cell your virus perfects to infect (viral specificity)
- Somehow integrate (creatively) a brief explanation of how viruses take over and destroy cells
- Sneak in two additional, specific facts about your virus
- Sneak in two facts about the immune system
Creativity is great! I t is also important to be creative when designing your project. Puns and jokes are
encouraged and color is a must for posters. Creativity and effort are 25 full points of this grade.
However, refer to the rubric page for extra ways that you may gain or lose points from coloring, props, puns, and more.
