Overview Inventory Structure
You must plan how Oracle Inventory represents your company's inventory
sites and business units. This includes defining organizations, locations,
subinventories, and locators.

1. Defining locations
Nav :Setup ->Org->Location

Give name, description and inactive date and address

Click on save

2. Creating Organization
We ca create organization from inventory module itself or from HRMS
module.

A. From inventory responsibility

1. Nav:setup->organization->organization
2. Click on new and give organization name
3. Select location. Then click on save. U can select the organization
classification only once you save at this point.
4. Now select the organization classification. It is nothing but the
type of organization that you want to create. Whether it is an
inventory organization or business group or operating unit
etc.once selected enable the org.
5. Now save.

In inventory level we should give two type of information

1. Accounting info (click on others)

Give PL, LE and OPU.then save.

2. Organization Information (go back and click on others)

Give inventory parameters, costing information and all other
tables (mandatory fields are marked in yellow) then click on
save

B. From HRMS
1. Nav: Work structure -> organization ->description.
2. We have to so the same things we did when we created the
inventory org from the inventory module.

3. Entering employee information

1. Go to HRMS Module
2. Nav:HRMS Manager->people->enter and maintain
3. Give all the necessary details and save
4. Defining workday Calendar
1. Nav: setup->organization->calendar
2. Give name and description of the calendar
3. Select appropriate quarterly type (4/4/5 means 3 quarters with two of
then have four weeks and one have 5 weeks)
4. Give from ate and to date to the calendar which are the first and last
working day of the calendar

5. Now set workday pattern. If we want 5 days (mon to fri) as working day
and 2 days(sat,sun) off we can give 5 2 as bellow

6. On dates we can see the working days if we wanna give any holidays
other that the off days we have to add it to the exception list
7. We can also create an exception template and load it to the exception
list.
8. Now we need to build the calendar. for that go to tools -.> Build. A
concurrent request will be running

5. Define sub-inventories
Nav:setup -> organization ->subinventory

6. Define Locators
7. Defining organization access mapping
8. Define freight carriers
