Science project

Learning Create and use a model to describe how the internal and external
outcomes: intercostal muscles and the diaphragm produce volume and
pressure changes leading to the ventilation of the lungs.

Project make a model of the respiratory system using an old plastic


Description bottle, balloons and straws, students
are asked to label their models and explain the mechanism of
breathing in regard to the position
of the diaphragm, size of lungs and pressure during inhalation and
exhalation.

Location / Materials can be prepared at home but making the models and
