HEATHER THE HALLOWEEN FAIRY
Start making the doll by making the legs and shoes. In this case, the shoes are not removable,
but crocheted together with the leg.

LEG (make 2) Begin with the shoe. Stuff as you go.

Sole (make 2 pieces for each shoe)

With colour Charcoal make ch6 and start in the second ch from the hook.
Rnd 1: scinc, 3sc, 4sc in next st. Now we’re going to continue on the other side of the
foundation chain, 3sc, scinc (14)
Rnd 2: scinc x2, 3sc, scinc x4, 3sc, scinc x2 (22)
Rnd 3: (sc, scinc) x2, 3sc, (sc, scinc) x4, 3sc, (sc, scinc) x2 (30)
Slst into the next st. Fasten off, weave in ends.

We’re going to make a double sole. Using an Orange yarn, join two sole pieces together with
a slst. To do this, place two pieces together with the wrong side facing each other. Crochet
slst’s by inserting your hook through both loops of each sole piece. Make sure you use all 4
loops. Join two pieces, making slst’s all the way around. You should have 30slst at the end.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Shoe, Sock and Leg

Rnd 1: Using colour Charcoal, join into the back loop (BL) of the closing slst, where the heel
side is facing you. Make sure it’s exactly in the middle of the heel side!
Make ch1 and 1sc into the same stitch then another 29sc into BL of every slst around. (30)
Rnd 2 – Rnd 3: 1sc in each stitch around (30)
Rnd 4: 5sc, scdec x 10, 5sc (20)
Rnd 5: 6sc, scdec x4, 6sc (16)
Rnd 6: 6sc, scdec x2, 6sc (14)
Start stuffing the shoe firmly and continue as you go.
Rnd 7 – Rnd 9: 1sc in each stitch around - 3 rounds (14)
In the last stitch of the Rnd 9, change the yarn for the Ash Brown and fasten off the
Charcoal!
Rnd 10: BLO, 1sc in each stitch around (14)
Rnd 11 – Rnd 18: 1sc in each stitch around – 8 rounds (14)
In the last stitch of the Rnd 18, change the yarn for the Anthracite and fasten off the Ash
Brown!

Heather and Tinker | No. 1338-243-9160 | © Hobbii 2024 | 4

Rnd 19 – Rnd 20: 1sc in each stitch around – 2 rounds (14)
In the last stitch of the Rnd 20, change the yarn for the Oatmilk and fasten off the
Anthracite!
Rnd 21: BLO, 1sc in each stitch around (14)
Rnd 22 – Rnd 31: 1sc in each stitch around – 10 rounds (14)
In the last stitch of the Rnd 31, change the yarn for the Charcoal and fasten off the Oatmilk!
Rnd 32: 1sc in each stitch around (14)
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Make the second leg. Follow instructions for leg one but do not fasten off at the end of Rnd
32.

At this point you can add a shoe border.

To make it, hold the leg with the shoe facing upwards, connect the Charcoal yarn to the last
remaining front loop of Rnd 10 and make 14sc around. Fasten off in invisible way. Repeat
with the second leg.
You can also embroider a shoe lace with an orange yarn.

Now we’re going to join the legs. Keep them slightly towards each other. Joining stitch
should be on the front.
Rnd 33: chain 3, sc to join the first leg, 13sc, 3sc into the ch3, 14sc into the second leg (34)

BODY Stuff as you go

Continue with the Charcoal yarn.
Rnd 34 – Rnd 39: 1sc in each stitch around – 6 rounds (34)

Now, we’re going to move our beginning stitch to the back. To do this, make a number of
stitches to reach the back of our fairy. I made 16sc.

Rnd 40: 7sc, scdec, 15sc, scdec, 8sc (32)
At the end of Rnd 40, change yarn to the Orange, but do not fasten off the Charcoal!
Rnd 41: 1sc in each stitch around (32)

Rnd 47: 1sc in each stitch around (26)

Rnd 52: (3sc, scdec) x3 (12)
Rnd 53 – Rnd 54: 1sc in each stitch around (12)
Do not fasten off, continue to the head.

The body is finished! Remember to stuff firmly the upper part of the body and a neck and
we’re ready to start making the head.

HEAD
Stuff as you go
Continue with the Oatmilk yarn.
Rnd 55: scinc x 12 (24)
Rnd 56: (1sc, scinc) x12 (36)
Rnd 57: (5sc, scinc) x6 (42)
Rnd 58: (6sc, scinc) x6 (48)

Rnd 60 – Rnd 70: 1sc in each stitch around – 11 rounds (54)
Rnd 71: (7sc, scdec) x6 (48)

Insert the eyes between rounds 63 and 64, approximately nine visible stitches apart. I used
8mm safety eyes, but feel free to use bigger or smaller eyes or even embroider them if you
like. Stuff the head firmly as you go.

Rnd 72: (6sc, scdec) x6 (42)

Rnd 73: (5sc, scdec) x6 (36)

Fasten off, close the last round by weaving remaining yarn through front loops of all 8
stitches. Pull tightly and weave in all ends. Now it’s a good time to embroider the details of
the eyes. Embroider a nose between the eyes on the rounds 62 and 63.

With the Greyish Purple yarn

Chain 25, sc into the second ch from the hook, [ch40, hdc into second ch from the hook,
38hdc back down the chain, slst into the next st], repeat […] 23 times. You should have 24
strands of hair at the end.
Fold a foundation chain in a half with the right side of the hair strands facing each other and
join with a row of sc.

Now, we’re going to attach hair to Heather’s head. To do so, unfold the hair wig and pin it to
the head, style as you like, then attach the hair using fabric glue or just simply sew them to
