SKI LL LEVEL - EASY
Before you start crocheting an octopus:
Materials:
• Yarn Art Jeans (55% cotton, 45% РАС) - pink, turquoise
• 2 mm Crochet Hook
• 4 eyes, 1 used 5 mm (attached to glue)
• Scissors and Yarn Needle
• Black threads for face details
• Marker
• Stuffing (Sewed bags in advance from а
piece of sock. 1 put the stuffing in these bags.
These soft capsules are placed inside the
tentacles. Total 8 soft capsules)
Abbreviations:
• MR = Magic Ring
• Ch = Chain
• Sc = Single Crochet
• SI st = Slip Stitch
• lnc = lncrease (Crochet two into same stitch)
• Hdc - half douЫe crochet stitch
• Dc - douЫe crochet
• BLO = Crochet through back loops only
• FLO = Crochet through front loops only
• in 1 = in ones sc
Notes
• AII terms are US crochet
• Work in а continuous spiral, unless instructed otherwise in the pattern
• Crochet 2 bodies yarn of different colors

Reversible Octopus
Pink and turquoise yarn. Make 2, one in each color
1 rnd: 6 sc in MR (6)
2 rnd: 6 inc (12)
3 rnd: (inc, sc)x6 (18)
4 rnd: (inc, 2 sc)x6 (24)
5 rnd: (3 sc, inc)x6 (30)
6 rnd: sc, inc, (4 sc, inc)xS, 3 sc (36)
7 rnd: (5 sc, inc)x6 (42)
8 rnd: 2 sc, inc, (6 sc, inc)xS, 4 sc (48)
9-15 rnd: 48 sc
16 rnd: 47 sc, slip stitch (48)
17 rnd: fio (sc, 3 hdc, sc, sI st)x8
18 rnd: [ (sc, hdc) in 1, 2 dc in 1), 3 tr in 1, 2 dc in 1, (hdc, sc) in 1, sI st ]х8
19 rnd: 2 sI st, (2 sc, 4 hdc, 2 sc, 4 sI st)x7, 2 sc, 4 hdc, 2 sc, 2 sI st
At one detail, cut the yarn and secure the end of the thread. Leave the
second detail with а long tail (about 1 meter). lt is needed for stitching
details.

Assembly

Place one piece inside the other. Align the crocheted octopus pieces. The
tentacles should line up with each other (see picture 1).
One of the pieces has а long tail. lnsert this tail into the needle. Placing the
bottom of each half together. Sew the details in half loops (pic. 2 and 3).
Connect the tentacles with the same tail (see picture 4). Continue around
the tentacles, stuffing as you go. Place а filler capsule inside each tentacle
(see picture 5 and 6). Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Add the eyes to both of your octopus bodies. Attach eyes between 11th and
12th rounds. 1 glued eyes.
Use the Ыасk floss thread to give а toy the desired facial expression. 1 have
embroidered а smile оп both sides. Му reversiЫe octopus is happy!
1 decorated the octopus with а bow.
1 row: 3 ch, in 3rd chain from hook (3 hdc, 2 ch, sI st, 2 ch, 3 hdc, 2 ch)
Cut the thread, pull out the loop. Using the Yarn Needle, attach the tail to
the center of the bow. Wrap the long tail through the center of the bow.
Secure the thread оп the wrong side of the bow. Sew the bow to the
crocheted octopus.
