Books Appropriate for Teachers to Read for Children
Reading books creates a critical role in expanding knowledge and personal understanding
of different phenomena of life. Teachers play a crucial role in the process of equipping children
with knowledge and skills of life. Psychologists assert that children tend to understand better
before their psychology is interfered with during the growing process. As a result, it is essential
to analyze some of the books I have read within science, math’s and social studies to review their
essence and applicability by teachers.
Having a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between all the
phenomena of life can help realize the long-lasting solution to challenges affecting the human
beings. My opportunity to read and explore mathematics has allowed me to read a book on Big
math activities for young children. The book is highly recommendable for teachers to use during
their teaching careers. The book offers some visual practicality to children, and reading the book
for kids will help them visualize mathematics concepts. Additionally, the book applies simple
analysis and uses the idea of moving from known to the unknown. The idea of known to the
unknown helps build more knowledge of the existing concept and ensures there is the referral of
the previous concepts as the studies continue (Dickson et al., n.d.). Moreover, science has
evolved to be an essential subject in solving different life equations. The teacher's opportunity to
read to learners the science is simple books plays a critical role in empowering learners
(Ashbrook, n.d.). The book is established based on practicality where the teacher will involve
learners in different skills that will ensure children grasp the scientific idea.
In conclusion, reading is essential to supplement the course work and the existing
knowledge. Teachers should always ensure they research supplementary materials that can be
read to children and reinforce what is learned in the syllabus.
