PRESENT PERFECT?
     COMPLETED ACTIONS WITH A
     CONNECTION TO THE PRESENT
Actions that happened at an unspecified time in the
past but have a connection to the present.
Example: “I have broken my leg, so I can’t go to the
party.”
“She has cleaned her room.”
     TALKING ABOUT EXPERIENCES
We use it to talk about experiences in our life.
Examples: “I have been to Berlin.”
“I have been to that restaurant three times.”
“She has travelled to Europe twice.”
“They have visited the Great Wall of China.”
“He has eaten sushi before.”
     ACTIONS THAT STARTED IN THE PAST
     AND CONTINUE INTO THE PRESENT
Actions that began in the past and are still relevant or
ongoing in the present.
Examples: “He has lived in this city for five years.”
“I have been an English teacher for ten years.”
