TEACHING/RESEARCH EXPERIENCE: 20 Years

I have more than 20 years of teaching and research experience. I joined Jamia Millia Islamia, New
Delhi in February 2017 and before that I worked as Fellow in the Institute for Defence Studies and
Analyses, New Delhi (A premier and prestigious Research Institute/Think-Tank of Ministry of
Defence, Government of India). I specialize in international relations, foreign policy and security
issues, especially India’s strategic relations with the countries of West Asia and North Africa. My
research also focuses on Political and Internal Developments in Iran, Iran’s Nuclear Programme, Iran-
China Economic, Political and Defence Relations. I have been a close observer of developments in
the West Asia and North Africa region, Energy Security in West Asia and Peace and Conflict
Resolution in the WANA region. I also worked on joint projects of IDSA and the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Iran, and GCC Countries.
