To our guest speaker, Dr.

Pre de Franco, ma'am, officers, other distinguished guests, my cadet

officers, and all incoming cadets, good morning.

First of all, I want to express my gratitude to the outgoing Corps Commander and his staff for
their unwavering commitment and for setting a high standard of excellence. Your dedication has inspired
us, and we will carry forward the values, discipline, and honor that you’ve exemplified throughout your
term.

As your Corps Commander, my vision is clear: to build upon our foundation, strengthen and
implement our unit’s core values, integrity, loyalty, discipline, and excellence, and push each other to
reach new heights. Integrity means doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. It’s about being
honest, trustworthy, and maintaining strong moral principles. Loyalty refers to a strong sense of
commitment and faithfulness to a certain cause Discipline will ensure that we stay focused, committed,
and dedicated to a certain goal. Excellence will drive us to set high standards in everything we do,
whether it be in training, service to our community, and academics.

This ROTC journey will not be easy. We face challenges that test our endurance, resolve, and
character. But I believe that these will help us to become better leaders, better teammates, and
especially, better individuals. Through these different challenges, I’ve developed my self-discipline, and
attitude which helped me in my daily life. These skillsets I obtained in ROTC, enabled me to attain certain
achievements, particularly in academics where I became a college scholar for three semesters, received
a grade A in my AFPSAT, and recently, passed the DOST Junior Level Science Scholarship and became one
of their “ISKO”. Here in ROTC, we do not only develop the patriotism of one individual but also their
attitude towards academic excellence.

As we embark on this journey together, I promise to lead with fairness, transparency, and an
open ear to every voice within this unit. My door will always be open to any cadet who has ideas,
concerns, or needs guidance. Leadership is not a one-person task; it is a shared responsibility, and I will
lean on each of you as we work toward our collective success.

To my fellow cadets, I am excited for the journey ahead. Together, we will continue to uphold the
legacy of this unit and make it stronger than ever. Let us move forward with confidence, determination,
and an unshakeable belief in our ability to succeed. We will rise above any obstacles, and I am confident
that we will support each other as we work toward our shared goals.
