SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES_____________________________________________________________

General information : Remove contaminated clothing immediately.


Inhalation : In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.
Skin contact : Wash skin immediately and thoroughly with water. Remove contaminated clothing. Obtain medical
attention if symptoms develop.
Eye contact : Wash immediately with copious amounts of water and obtain medical attention.
Ingestion : Remove material from mouth. Drink one or two glasses of water or milk. Obtain medical attention without
delay.

SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES_________________________________________________________

Suitable extinguishing media : CO2, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight larger fires with water jet or alcohol-
resistant foam.
Protective equipment : Put on breathing apparatus.

SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES_________________________________________________

Protection of personnel : Put on breathing device. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.
Environmental precautions: Inform responsible authorities in case product reaches water or sewage system. Dilute
with plenty of water.
Method of disposal : Absorb with liquid-binding material or similar inert material. Dispose of the collected material
according to the regulations.

SECTION 10 - STABILITY AND REACTIVITY_______________________________________________________

SECTION 11 - TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION___________________________________________________

Acute toxicity :
LD50 (oral) : Based on the toxicological classification the LD50 (oral) is estimated to be 200 - 2000 mg/kg. This value is
of no practical significance due to the corrosive nature of the product.
Primary irritant effect:
skin contact : Causes severe burns.
eye contact : Causes severe or permanent damage.
inhalation : Severe irritant, may cause pulmonary oedema and may cause bronchospasm in chlorine sensitive
individuals.
ingestion : Causes severe burns. Ingestion will lead to a strong caustic effect on mouth and throat and to the danger of
perforation of esophagus and stomach.

Classification : Very toxic to aquatic organisms. The classification of the product is due to the component(s) listed in

Aquatic toxicity : Based on the environmental classification the toxicity for aquatic organisms (as defined in
67/548/EEC, Annex V)is estimated to be <= 1 ml/l.
General notes : Must not reach sewage water or drainage ditch undiluted or unneutralized. When used for its intended
purpose this product should not cause adverse effects in the environment.
