Narrative outline - Learn top play volleyball. Angie W.

Flores

I started playing volleyball in the 3rd period of 2022 when I was in physical
education class at UPNFM. Playing sports was completely new for me and I felt
it was a very difficult and different experience. My path in sports was long to the
point of perdition, but I decided not to give up because I wanted to learn a new
sport and at the same time improve my mental health and I can say that I have
achieved it. It was difficult at first, I didn't improve until a long time after joining
the team.

My first time playing volleyball it went quite badly since I didn’t know anything
about that sport, I diddn’t know the rules and it was very difficult for me to play it
and this continued to happen for several days of class, so I decided to practice
extra time. After class, I spent 2 hours training every day, because I really
wanted to improve, because I needed to be able to pass the class. I started
trying hard when we started playing volleyball. I wasn’t the best on the exam,
but I had improve a enough to be able to have an average grade on the exam.

After that I managed to pass my class, but I stopped playing volleyball for
almost a year, until suddenly I wanted to try a new soport and I thought it woul
be a Good idea to give volleball another chance. So I deciced join the
university’s team. The first few days were difficult since I was the new member
of the team and I needed top ut in extra time and try twice as hard.Little by Little
I improved but it was not enogh, after 5 months I made the decision to change
team because After 5 months I made the decision to change teams because I
no longer felt comfortable being there, I felt like I wasn't really working as well
as I should.

On February 2, 2024 I started playing for a new team, at first I was nervous
about it, I made new Friends, I started going for walks with the team, we trained
hard but we really learned to do better. I had to start from scratch, since in this
new team in volleyball they play with other techniques at first it was a bit difficult
but the coach was patient enough to explain to me how everything worked and
Little by little it bacame much easier for me, and also get help from team
members, they played with me extra time when I needed it.
Today, I am not the best player but I can say that I have improved and I hope to
continue doing it. Since I have been on the team I have improve a lot not only in
sport, but also in my mental health. Since volleyball is something that I like
playing and I also have fun with the resto f the team not to metion the good
friendships I have made there, I am happy to know that I can count on them and
on volleyboy at the same time, I hope to continue playing it for a long time in my
life.
