Gurukul emphasizes on self-discipline as well as aims to make its students responsible
and independent. The senior students are given responsibilities, form a part of the
school’s disciplinary committee and are involved in the taking decisions regarding the
school and its students.
Students are taken to various industries as field trips with the aim to make Education
more interactive as well as interesting. Students understands the concepts taught in
classrooms better when they see them for real rather than imagining them. Such as –
Parle, Plywood, Paper industries and Agriculture.

SERVICE
Gurukul aims at instilling values of service towards the environment and the less fortunate
children of our society, in its students from the very beginning. The school has adopted
the Sai Village near Kashipur, where the students are taken from time to time to distribute
their old belongings and say a silent prayer of thanks to the Almighty for being fortunate
enough to have been born into well to do families; bringing about a sense of humility and
selflessness.
The students are active in raising awareness on issues which are a potential threat to our
environment – Global Warming, Pollution & Deforestation. The school has taken out
rallies, participated in Afforestation Campaigns and promoted the use of paper bags in
line with the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan.

ACTIVITIES
The Gurukul system of education emphasizes on qualities such as ‘simple living’,
‘discipline’, ‘loyalty and dutiful’ and ‘quest for learning’. The objective behind naming the
school, ‘Gurukul’ was to impart education using the most modern methods of teaching
while laying importance on our culture and values, making it a ‘Temple of Learning’.The
logo, the bell was chosen after a lot of thought. Symbolically, the body of the bell
represents ‘time’, the tongue of the bell represents ‘Goddess Sarawati’, the Goddess of
Learning and the handle represents ‘Prana Shakti’. Since Gurukul emphasizes on ‘time
management’ and the ‘importance of knowledge’; the bell represents the school and all
the values it stands for.
Sportsman Spirit - SPORTS
The school has partnered with EduSports (The best startup company according to
Forbes, 2012) to give its students professional assistance, training and guidance in the
world of sports and make a child realise the importance of DISCIPLINE and TEAMWORK.
Sports is a powerful tool which can foster high human and spiritual ideals such as loyalty,
perseverance, friendship and solidarity. The sports curriculum is designed to meet every
requirement for growing children and young adults. The state-of-the-art facilities include
Basketball, Tennis, Squash, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, Yoga, Skating, Cycling Track
amongst many more.
