Early bathrooms were fairly rudimentary affairs, with basins and toilets
made from earthenware, baths in copper, tin or cast iron, and taps
just simple brass castings. Then in the late Victorian period, improved
plumbing and higher quality materials became available. During the

At the turn of the 20th Century, bathroom product design was still in 44
its infancy, and form was still subservient to function. Shapes were

feet on pedestals. More rounded, opulent designs began to appear
in the years immediately before the First World War, reflecting the art
and architecture of that carefree, innocent time now known as la belle
epoque.

no tap holes. Tap holes are drilled by the installer in the required position

Routine Cleaning

Minerva® does not require any specialist cleaning regimes, most dirt will
easily wipe off with a damp cloth and soapy water. The work surface should
then be rinsed with clean water and wiped dry. Persistent marks can be

Minerva®, unlike marble and granite, is not porous and will resist most
household chemicals including alcohol and cosmetics, however, some
