DOMAIN: EDUCATION AND E-
LEARNING.
(Social Internship Program)
SUMMARY:
E-learning is not just a change of technology. It is part of a redefinition of how
we as a species transmit knowledge, skills, and values to younger generations
of workers and students. This book makes a few predictions of how e-learning
and the functions it serves will continue to develop. Learners will have access
to millions or billions of knowledge modules. Some will be Web pages with
simple text and graphics. Others may include multimedia simulations. In many
fields, e-learning has become the default way to conduct training or to provide
education. There are four secrets of e-learning. The first secret is to teach what
learners need to learn in the way they most naturally learn. The second secret
is to define clear learning objectives. The third secret builds on the first two. It
is to focus on the right objectives. The final secret is in the power of testing.
Hence,
eLearning speeds up the process for learners who go at a quicker pace,
saving time and resources for the ultimate in efficiency. eLearning can also
allow learners to test out of material they’ve already learned, also saving time.
By applying the DTI principles (Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and test)
we have analysed the situation and proceeded. We have gone through the
insights of the survey and started empathetic research on the interaction
program.
These DTI principles have helped us a lot.

INTRODUCTION
Abstract: E-learning presents an entirely new learning environment for
students, thus requiring a different skill set to be successful . Critical thinking,
research, and evaluation skills are growing in importance as students have
increasing volumes of information from a variety of sources to sort through .
Also, particularly in courses that are entirely electronic, students are much
more independent than in the traditional setting. This requires that they be
highly motivated and committed to teach , with less social interaction with
peers or an instructor. Students in online courses tend to do as well as those in
classrooms, but there is higher incidence of withdrawal or incomplete grades .
E- Learning can be viewed as computer assisted learning, and as pedagogy for
student centered and collaborative learning. Early developments in e-learning
focused on computer assisted learning, where part or all of the learning content
is delivered digitally. More recently the pedagogical dimension of e-learning has
become prominent. E-learning comprises all forms of electronically supported
learning and teaching. The information and communication systems, whether
networked learning or not, serve as specific media to implement the
learning process.
Summary: E-learning is not just a change of technology. It is part of a
redefinition of how we as a species transmit knowledge, skills, and values to
younger generations of workers and students. This book makes a few
predictions of how e-learning and the functions it serves will continue to
develop. Learners will have access to millions or billions of knowledge modules.
Some will be Web pages with simple text and graphics. Others may include
multimedia simulations. In many fields, e-learning has become the default way
to conduct training or to provide education. There are four secrets of e-
learning. The first secret is to teach what learners need to learn in the way they
most naturally learn. The second secret is to define clear learning objectives.
The third secret builds on the first two. It is to focus on the right objectives. The
final secret is in the power of testing.
Hence,
eLearning speeds up the process for learners who go at a quicker pace,
saving time and resources for the ultimate in efficiency. eLearning can also
allow learners to test out of material they’ve already learned, also saving time.
Methodology: A survey was conducted to collect quantitative data on the
perceptions and opinions of the local population regarding E learning. we had
Developed a set of well-crafted questions that align with your objective. we
have done online surveys, face-to-face interviews, phone interviews etc..
Mostly we preferred face-to-face interviews for better results
Here are some of the questions we asked:
1. How long should an eLearning course be?
2. Should there be forced navigation in eLearning courses?
3. Is e learning really worth it?
3.1.Empathization :
Education and learning are really important for people to grow and make
progress. They help us become better individuals and shape the world we live
in. Understanding and caring about the difficulties and experiences that come
with education can help us understand what different learners need.
When we empathize with learners, we realize that everyone has their own
special abilities, interests, and ways of learning. We need to recognize the
problems and challenges they might face, like not having enough money,
having trouble learning certain things, being from a different culture, or dealing
with personal issues. If we understand these challenges, we can try to create
schools and learning environments that are fair and supportive for
each person's needs.
3.2. Swot Analysis: During the internship project, several challenges
were encountered, including:
Lack of Motivation in Students :
It was thought that online learning would be the new interactive and
immersive method to teach the new generation of students. Though, the
results speak on the contrary.
Infrastructural Problems :
Though online learning doesn’t require huge buildings, big classrooms,
chairs, tables, blackboards, or chalk doesn’t mean there are no
infrastructural requirements. The need for a computer, adequate software,
constant electricity, and high-bandwidth internet is quite a big demand.
Digital Literacy and Technical Issues:
One of the critical problems with online learning for the new generation is
proficiency in working with computers doesn’t necessarily translate to
Digital Literacy.
Abundant Distractions and Lack of Discipline :
With recurrent technical issues, bandwidth problems, and monotonous
lectures, online attendance has seen a drastic dip. Most students find
learning online boring and often complain of lacking the motivation to
make it through a class. Even teachers often complain of a lack of tools to
make the classes engaging, leading to a loss of interest from both parties.
3.3. POV-Questions (10 questions):
How do you typically handle the e-Learning design process?
Do you think e learning is the future?
If students should learn everything properly does e-learning play
a potential role?
what do you think the changes have to be done the e learning process?
what is your opinion on e-exams?
What measures are taken to conduct e-learning?
What strategies can be implemented to overcome the digital divide in
rural communities?
What role can governments and policymakers play in promoting and
supporting online education?
What are the potential long-term benefits of implementing online
education in rural areas?
what are the beneficial things that we can earn from e-learning?
3.4 Customer Journey Map:
To take a membership in an online website or course.
3.5 Prototype:
EmpathEdu: A Caring E-Learning Prototype knows that every learner
is different. They have their own strengths, interests, and ways of learning.
The prototype offers personalized learning paths designed for each
individual. Through assessments, EmpathEdu figures out what each person
is good at and where they need help. Then it suggests courses, resources,
and activities that match their needs. This personalized approach keeps
learners engaged and helps them achieve their learning goals.
