INTRODUCTION :
Andhra Pradesh is located in the south eastern
coast of India and is the eighth largest state in the
country. The state is bordered by Chhattisgarh to the
north, Odisha to the north east, Telangana and Karnataka
to the west , Tamil Nadu to the south , and the bay of
Bengal to the east. Its 974 km coastline is the second
Longest in the country.
History of Andhra Pradesh :
The history of Andhra Pradesh is traced back to the pre
historic period with the development of civilization in its
ancient history. Andhra Pradesh was ruled by many kings
of ancient times such as Satavahanas {the great king
gautami putra satakarni} After satavahanas many kings
succeeded the kingdom such as Andhra Ikshvakus and
pallavas and kakatiyas , but under krishnadevaraya of the
vijayanagara Empire the telugus became independent
after and all these Andhra state was created in the year
1953 as Hyderabad capital but after some negotiations
telangana had separated from Andhra Pradesh and
amaravati had became capital of andhrapradesh.
Culture of Andhra Pradesh :
The culture of Andhra Pradesh is an integral part gadwal,
venkatagiri,pedana,Bandarulanka,uppada,and
mangalagiri the exclusive metal ware , brass, stone and
wood carving from budithi in srikakulam District and
veenas from bobili and colourful toys from etikoppaka
and kondapalli highlight the immense talent of the
Andhra pradeshi’s .
Arts of Andhra Pradesh :
Music : the influential musical contributions of
“Annamacharya” and “Tyagaraja” to the grammar of
sound made the telugu language the preferred language
of composition for carnatic music. Their influence not
only on carnatic but global classical music and the
organization of sound as a medium of emotional
resonance is unparalleled.
Dance : In Andhra Pradesh “kuchipudi”, as a refinement
of the ancient art of Bharatanatyam, and in the context
of the unique religious and cultural traditions of Andhra
Pradesh , stands on par with all the great global
traditions of classical dance . the various dance forms
that existed through the state’s history are chenchu
bhagotam, Bhamakalapam, Burrakatha, veeranatyam,
Butta bommalu , Dappu, Tappeta , Gullu, Dhimsa, and
kolaatam.
Economy :
Agriculture, dominated by the production of food grains
is a major, although declining , sector of the state’s
economy, in terms of value. Andhra Pradesh is one of the
leading rice growing states in the country and is a major
producers of India’s tobacco . AP has best irrigation
facilities. Beginning in the mid-20th century, however
great effort were made to tap the waters of the Godavari,
Krishna, penneru and other rivers by constructing dams
and reservoirs that benefit both coastal and drier upland
regions . Animal husbandry has increased significantly in
AP especially since the start of the 21st century. Livestock
raising contributes roughly half as much in overall value
as crop production. Animals raised include cattle , water
buffalo , sheeps , goats , pigs and poultry . Dairy and eggs
production have grown dramatically.
Resources and power :
Among the state’s principal mineral resources are
asbestos, mica, manganese, barite, and high grade coal
low grade iron ore is found in the southern parts of the
state . In the early 21st century large deposits of natural
gas were found onshore and offshore in the basins of the
godavari and Krishna . The diamond mines of Golconda
were once renowned worldwide for producing
“Koh-i-noor” diamond and other famous stones .
Most of AP’s energy is produced by thermal generators in
public sector . hydroelectric power stations notably those
on the Krishna river along the telangana border at
srisailam provide an important secondary source of
energy.
Piligrims :
More over AP is the higher producer of rice and has best
sources of living . and also it has greater pilgrimage
places such as Tirumala balaji temple , srisailam temple ,
and annavaram temple , kanaka durgamma temple and
many more.
Conclusion :
Andhra Pradesh is a beautiful state . Its unique features
set it apart from other Indian states. If you love history
