Sleepy Collection

WELCOME!
I started Kayte-Did’s on Facebook 12 years ago just to have a way to post my creations and it
turned into SO much more. I feel so blessed to be able to share with you how I made my Sleepy
Collection. Lots of notes taken, lots of counting stitches, lots of going thru colors and I think the
final result will be just what you’re looking for. Feel free to tag me in pictures @kaytedids on
Facebook and Instagram

Note: Pattern is crocheted in continuous rows. Stitch markers can be used to mark starting spot.

Hair:
With this chain loop method I do 3 loops across with 4 rows down. Feel free to add more or less
depending on what you like. One line to the left of the horn, directly behind the horn and to the
right of the horn.
Mane:
● Sl st attach your yarn to the head of the unicorn
● Chain 25(loose tension)
● Sl st back into the head one space over from you beginning
● Chain 25
● Sl st back into the head one space over
● Chain 25
Repeat those steps without cutting your yarn til you have a full mane of loop hair.
Tail:
Find your center where you would like the tail. I did 4 loops across with 2 rows down.
● Follow Mane directions EXCEPT only chain 20
Assembly:
● You will want to pin the legs in place for this step: Lay the body on a flat surface and
have the legs resting on the surface and against the body. Front legs will be one row
back from the neck. Back legs are 6 rows from the final dec close. Sew around legs and
stuff before closing if you desire a stiffer leg.
● Ears are approximately 4-5 rows back from the eyes with 10 spaces between them.
● Place the horn 2-3 rows back from the eyes and center.
Cow Mods:
● Head/body steps 1-5 Nose color.
● Step 6 White or main body color of cow
● Use unicorn ears
● If you’d like to make color change spots,
this can be done on the head and/or
body in any placement. Just simply drop
the main body color and do a few
stitches in your spot color. Pick up the
body color again and continue.
● If color changing spots aren’t something
you are interested in you can also
crochet a circle and sew it on:
Spot: Horns: x2
