Great article. Thanks.
I completely disagree with Lacob who said at the end of this
Kerr who said “I feel like this is the best version of us.”. What? To both of them:
continue counting a limping team and hope to make the playoffs, let alone win
games at that level. I say limping because you got a constant: Stephen Curry, a
seemingly calmer Draymond who could punch someone, shock him or kick him in
the nuts, a Klay Thompson who is very unsure of himself, gingerly playing in fear of
another catastrophic injury. Here goes the “splash brothers!”. Who else I might
add? Kuminga? Yes, he is improving but he won’t give you 25 pts night after night.
Both him and Wiggins do show flashes of excellence, I admit but those are only
flashes. I won’t even waste time and ink talking about the rest of the team: Looney:
good rebounder but is always out-played with bigger player. Another big man like
David West would be a good addition: muscle, muscle down low. I like all the rest
of the players like Podziemski and all the rest, including clunker Chris Paul, should
be packed to get another consistent score like my African brother, Pascal Siakam.
Yes the W’s with Dunleavy at the helm missed the boat. The Indiana Pacers
grabbed him. Now they are 6th in the Eastern conference, with 3 players scoring
more than 20pts a game, more that 3 rebounds and assists per game, in Halliburton,
Siakem and Myles Turner (only 17pts average but he is a center with 7 rebounds per
game). What about the W’s so far? Check it out: Golden State Warriors 2023-24 NBA
Regular Season Stats - ESPN
What do we have as a consistent scorer? Curry. Period. Check out the Warriors
with Kevin Durant in 2018 when they won the championship the last time: Golden
State Warriors 2017-18 NBA Postseason Stats - ESPN
Well, who do we have this year who would share the scoring load, i.e. average more than 20
pts per game? Nobody. Conclusion: as a Warrior fan I say: please jut make the playoff
this year and start rebuilding next year. As to Steve Kerr contract: pay him what his worth:
4 championships in 6 years.
