• Should not have irrelevant information
• Document should be attractive, impressive and easy to read.
• Standard layout with clear headings
• Written by those who are responsible to implement the plan
• Clear and properly organized
• Not a tool for raising money
• Business plan should highlight the points that can attract investors
• Assumptions made to prepare business plan should be realistic
• Must engage readers and excite them about the potential business
idea
