Note to students of Classes VI to XII:
Dear Students,
As guided by the Gujarat Government, we are organizing KALA UTSAV at school level on
06/09/2024 in the evening (5:00 p.m. onwards) wherein different competitions will be
conducted under the theme – Garvi Gujarat.
These competitions will be held in three different groups – VI to VII, IX – X, XI – XII.
Following are the details:
1. Painting Competition:
Theme: Based on Garvi Gujarat (Gujarat of my Dreams / Festivals of Gujarat / Digital Gujarat
/ Our National Parks / Animals / My Village / My City etc.)
Duration: 2 Hrs. 30 mins.
Apart from drawing sheet, required material to be brought by the participant.
Names to be given to: Ms. Sujata Khona
2. Baal Kavi Competition:
Themes: Based on Garvi Gujarat (Pride of Gujarat – Girnar, Narmada, Beautiful State Gujarat,
Garvi Gujarat etc.)
Language: Hindi / Gujarati
Paper will be provided by school for the same.
Writing time: 45 mins.
Presentation Time: 7 mins.
Names to be given to: Ms. Jyoti Chawda (for Hindi), Ms. Vaishali Parmar (for Gujarati)
3. Classical Vocal:
Duration: 10 mins.
Only Tabla and Harmonium can be used. Electric Tanpura is allowed.
Number of accompanists: 2 (to be arranged by the participants themselves.)
Karaoke will not be allowed.
Names to be given to: Ms. S. Sarastwati
4. Light Vocal:
Prayer songs / Patriotic songs / Folk Songs / Bhajans can be presented in this category.
Duration: 5 mins.
Only Tabla and Harmonium can be used. Electric Tanpura is allowed.
Number of accompanists: 2 (to be arranged by the participants themselves.)
Karaoke will not be allowed.
Names to be given to: Ms. S. Saraswati
5. Instrumental:
Following instruments can be taken – Tabla, Mridangam, Pakhawaj, Dholak, Harmonium,
Flute, Sitar, Sarod, Violin Shehnai etc.
Duration: 5 mins.
Number of accompanists: 1 (to be arranged by the participants themselves.)
Names to be given to: Mr. Rajesh Shah
