1. Where did Yoosuf (A.S) found himself after being sold?
Ans: After being sold, Yoosuf (A.S) found himself into the household of a high-ranking government official.
2. What kind of dreams could Yoosuf (A.S) interpret?
Ans: Allah taught Yoosuf (A.S) the interpretation of dreams, which foretell future events, in order to prepare
for these events and work for their implementation before they occur.
3. What wise analysis did the relative of the wife of Al-Azeez make?
Ans: The relative of Al-Azeez knew the character of the woman so, he gave the wise analysis that if his shirt is
torn from front then her tale is true and he is a liar, but if it is torn from the back then she is lying and he is
speaking the truth.
4. Why did Al-Azeez ask his wife to seek forgiveness from Allah even though they worshipped idols?
Ans: Although people in Egypt worshipped idols, they knew that the one who forgives sins or punishes for it
is, Allah. That is why he asked her to seek forgiveness from Allah.
5. Why do you think Allah tested Yoosuf (A.S) with temptation?
Ans: In order to enable Yoosuf (A.S) to attain the highest degree of purity and excellence, it was essential part
of Allah’s plan to expose him to such temptation.

6. Which seven people will Allah shade on the Day of Judgement?
Ans: The seven type of people that Allah will shade on the Day of Judgement are:
1. A just ruler, 2. A youth who grows up in the worship of Allah, 3. A man whose heart is attached to the
mosque, 4. two men who love each other for the sake of Allah. They meet and depart for His sake, 5. A man
whom a woman of stunning beauty and high position seduces but he says, ‘I fear Allah’, 6. A man who gives
charity and conceals it, 7. A man who remembers Allah in solitude and tears well up in his eyes.
7. How did Al-Azeez’s wife decide to justify her behavior?
Ans: She invited the women of the city for a luxurious meal and a provided a sharp knife for fruits as she
wanted to show them that Yoosuf (A.S) was a slave boy of different personality and not like any other slave
boy.
8. Was Yoosuf (A.S) imprisoned because he was guilty of immoral behavior? If not then why?
Ans: No he was not guilty of immoral behavior. He was imprisoned because AL-Azeez wanted to reduce the
intensity of the feelings of his wife and also it was a way of Allah to save him from the advances of a corrupt
woman.
9. What did Yoosuf’s imprisonment signify?
Ans: Yoosuf’s imprisonment signifies the defect of the corrupt upper class Egyptian society and also that
Yoosuf (A.S) possessed nobility, firmness of character and elegance of behavior.
