ARTISAN COFFEE: BRINGING A NEW COFFEE LIFESTYLE TO MAURITIANS
It all started in December 2016, in the center of Port-louis when the first Artisan
Coffee opened its doors at Sir Willian Newton Street, integrated in a Body & Soul
shop. This new lifestyle revamped the shopping era with the concept of Cup to
Go for corporates in the city. Cozy and warm, with a unique vintage decoration,
the coffee shop welcomed clients who could from thereon shop and have a
coffee break.
Ideal for early morning people, Artisan offers great breakfast deals to grab & go
including freshly baked viennoiseries accompanied by a barista made coffee with
artistic latte. Coffee and “croissant” have become undoubtedly the citizens’
favourite breakfast.
Who would say that the capital would love Artisan Coffee that much? Nowadays,
several Artisan Coffee shops are satisfying people in every corner of Port-Louis.
Since then, Artisan has won the hearts of many Mauritians. From its stunning
decoration to its refined coffee beans and delicious pastries, the coffee shop
knows how to please everyone with its flavoured latte, cappuccino, espresso and
mocha at an affordable price.
Artisan Coffee would soon expand to Cascavelle, Grand Baie, Ebene followed by
Curepipe, Tamarin, Flacq, Quatre Bornes, La City Trianon, Riche Terre and Beau
Plan.

The transnational catering industry is facing a significant challenge. To improve
the quality of their services and their competitiveness, it is now of the utmost
importance for transnational organizations to consider how to increase the
leadership effectiveness by implementing the theory of organizational behavior.
In this article, Starbucks serves as a case study to analyze such issues present in
the transnational catering industry. The Starbucks globalization process, and the
sinicization process, in particular, present a number of opportunities and threats
that would be analyzed using the SWOT framework. In addition, this study would
explore how Starbucks issues in China can be resolved using organizational
behavior theory and four strategies, including strengthening corporate culture,
building a learning team, implementing incentive mechanism, identifying
individual differences among employees. In conclusion, the findings of this study
can be illuminating for business leaders and transnational corporations develop
more effective organizational models appropriate to the context and conditions
of the modern business world.
