FRONT BAR:
With A make 29 ch. Starting from 2nd ch from hook:

1) Sc in each st. (28 sc)

2) to 6) repeat row 1 (with 1 turning ch at the end of each
row). (28 sc) Fasten off leaving long end (around 100cm).

Pattern notes:
Lay a bit of stuffing evenly on the piece of fabric just
made, sew the bottom of the fabric to the top of last
row, using sl st and the yarn tail that’s left after
fastening off.

Pattern notes:

With the yarn end first sew the side of the bar together
and then sew it on the side so it leans toward the inside
of book holder. Then sew the bottom of the bar using
overcast stitch on top of row 21 and lastly sew the
other side of the bar together and to the body as
shown on the photos below. In case of any doubts view
my YT video on how to sew on front bar.

Straightening the book holder

As mentioned on the beginning you will notice the stitches lean forward, due to being worked in the round, rather
than back and forth. Because of that the writing seems to be like written in italics (leaning to the right side). To
correct it, pull the bottom right of the sts to the right and the top left of the stitches to the left as indicated by the
arrows on the photo below. Alternatively insert tapestry needles or thin crochet hooks on the top left and bottom
right corners of each letter and do the same (pull in opposite directions). See my video instruction on how to
straighten the book holder.

TAPESTRY CROCHET PHOTO TUTORIAL

Step 1. Finish last sc by pulling up new color B (without any knots as pictured) through last 2 loops on the hook.

Step 2. Lay color A and beginning strand of color B on top of the sts. Insert the hook in the next st making sure color A is still on top
of the st, yarn over color B and pull through the st. Yarn over color B (if next st will be in that color) and pull through last 2 loops on
the hook. Make required amount of sts in color B working over color A closing it inside the sts until it’s needed again.

Step 3. When finishing with color B, yo color A and pull through last 2 loops on the hook to finish sc. Continue making required
amount of sc in color A making sure color B stays on the top of the stitches and you are working over it, carrying it inside the stitches
until it’s needed again. When you finish with color B, cut the yarn and work over the yarn end for the next 5-6 stitches closing it
inside the stitches. Alternatively weave the ends at the back or tie a knot with the end from the next round.
