and reduce the risk of disasters. It teaches us people to be aware of the
possibility of each hazard and understand its function to avoid it. It is a way for a
community to sustain itself from the adverse effects of disaster.
2. We can reduce Disaster risk from the practices that we learn from schools and
different situational drills such as earthquake drill, fire drill and other hazard
related drills.
3. Disaster risk reduction is the practice for the community on how to avoid
disaster risk, while Disaster risk management is said to be the applied version of
the disaster risk reduction in means of practices on prevention, mitigation, and
other ways.
