1. Replenishing Engine Oil — Normal Method
A. Procedure
WARNING: THE SYNTHETIC LUBRICATING OIL USED IN THIS ENGINE CONTAINS
ADDITIVES WHICH, IF ALLOWED TO COME INTO CONTACT WITH SKIN FOR
PROLONGED PERIODS, CAN BE TOXIC THROUGH ABSORPTION.
CAUTION: THE OIL SPECIFIED FOR USE IN THIS OIL SYSTEM IS DAMAGING TO PAINT
WORK AND CERTAIN TYPES OF RUBBER AND MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO
CONTAMINATE THOSE PARTS OF ENGINE NOT NORMALLY IN CONTACT WITH IT.
ANY OIL SPILL DURING SERVICING MUST BE WIPED UP IMMEDIATELY.
NOTE: To add oil, use engine oil replenishing system located in tail compartment.
Tail compartment entrance door must be open to operate system.

system.
NOTE: The sight glass has two graduated scales, one for left hand and one for right hand
engine installations. Select appropriate scale. See Figure 301.
(9) Remove dust cap from oil tank FILL port.
(10) Remove replenishing pump hose from storage connector (located aft of oil tank) and connect
hose to oil tank FILL port, see Figure 302.
