Course outcome
S 5 P 3 – ENVIRONMENTAL LAW
CO1- Students will possess a comprehensive understanding of insurance,
including fundamental concepts and principles, the historical development of
insurance, and its relationship with contract and tort law, as well as familiarity
with the regulatory framework for insurance in India.
CO2- Students will gain a thorough understanding of insurance law,
encompassing its fundamental principles, key concepts, and terminology, as
well as the characteristics of various insurance policies.
CO3- Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of life insurance,
including its fundamental concepts and principles, the various types of life
insurance policies and their features, as well as the process of settlement of
claim and payment of money under a life insurance policy.
CO4- Students will acquire a thorough understanding of marine insurance,
encompassing its core principles, policy types, and the regulatory framework
outlined in the Marine Insurance Act 1963.
CO5- Enables the students in understanding the concept of social insurance in
India, including its concept and importance, various types of social insurance
schemes, and the authorities and schemes responsible for implementing them.
