Project Title: Mood Tracking Application
"To create a classroom environment that not only emphasizes academic achievement but also
prioritizes the emotional well-being of students."
Overview:
The Mood Tracking Application is designed to empower students to effortlessly track and manage
their emotional well-being on a daily basis, while also providing valuable insights for facilitators
and teachers to tailor support accordingly. With a user-friendly interface, students can easily input
their daily mood, and trigger factors affecting that mood, and access resources aimed at enhancing
their mental health.
Phase 1: Mood Tracking and Happiness Activity
● Develop user-friendly input and report pages for student users to track their daily mood.
● Develop report pages - Display mood data using visually appealing charts and graphs
And show suggested interventions to the teacher and counselor
Users based on certain pre-programmed logic.
● Implement features for students to engage in happiness activities and track their progress.
Phase 2: Assessment Integration
● Incorporate assessments such as aptitude and career assessments to provide students with
holistic support.
● Integrate assessment results into the application to provide personalized recommendations
and insights.
Phase 3: Awareness and Parental Engagement
● Expand the application to include awareness videos and educational content on mental
health.
● Enhance parental engagement by providing tips and resources for supporting their
children's emotional well-being.
CURRENTLY WE ARE ONLY FOCUSING ON PHASE 1
Objectives:
1. Develop a user-friendly interface for students to input their mood data easily.
2. Implement data visualization features to present mood trends and insights.
3. Incorporate trigger identification functionality to help students identify factors influencing their
mood.
4. Provide resources and activities to support mood improvement and mental well-being.
5. Ensure scalability and flexibility to accommodate future enhancements and updates.

REFERENCE PURPOSES
Structure of users
TEACH organization will be a “super-admin” for the application. Super-admin will have access to EVERYTHING
the application offers, captures, and analyzes.
Each teacher user will have multiple student users under them. Think like a classroom teacher in charge of 30-40
number of students or more.
Students are at the last level of the application. The users who will give us the data and in return receive benefits of
the psychology improvement activities we will prescribe to them.
There can be multiple intermediate levels (in future) between TEACH, the teacher, and the students. New levels
may be created along with new users as per requirement. Think: TEACH Admin→State Admin→District
Admin→School Admin→Teacher→Student etc.
At the creation and addition of a new user, mandate that the level of the user is to be mapped to ensure hierarchical
sense
APPLICATION WORKFLOW
Detailed Flowcharts will also be available (with some screen prototypes) at the end of the document.
Please refer to those as well in case of doubt.
Please note that any screens/visuals/prototypes are subject to change and not final.

IN DETAIL -
Student Login Page
1. Input page:
Front End: This interface will
feature a selection of 20 emotions,
allowing any student to choose one
and submit. Should the selected
emotion be negative, the page will
automatically navigate to a "#Trigger
Selection" page and a "#Relaxation
Technique" page, offering support
and guidance.
Represented by: Facial
Expressions (Currently in design
phase)
Back End: The 20 emotions will be categorized into 5 broader categories.
These daily mood statistics will be visually presented to the facilitator/teacher, aiding in quick
comprehension. Moreover, students experiencing negative emotions persistently for three
consecutive days will be flagged in an additional report titled "#Students in Need of Attention".
Within this report, facilitators will have the option to customize the data retrieval period, selecting
from options such as 3 days, 1 week, or manual entry.
1. Trigger Area
Front End: This interface will present a curated list of 15 trigger areas, allowing
students to select the specific trigger point that resonates with them, facilitating navigation
to the subsequent page seamlessly.
Represented by: GIFs or Text (Under consideration)
Back End: The trigger areas will be categorized into three overarching umbrellas
for efficient management and organization.
2. Relaxation techniques
Front End: This page will offer a selection of relaxation techniques tailored to
address negative emotions chosen by the student.

Student who need attention
Front End: This page presents a carefully selected roster of students who might need extra
support or attention, particularly those who have sustained a negative mood for three consecutive
days by default. However, there should also be the option to choose different time intervals, such
as one week or one month instead of just 3 days..
Each student that is present in this list will be a button type of element which when clicked
should take us to the individual student data page (line graph of mood) shown in previous page.
Teaching Modifications
Front End: The teaching modification page suggests adjustments to teaching methods tailored
to the collective mood of the class, aiding teachers in fostering a conducive learning environment
Back End: If the majority of students are in a positive mood, the system would recommend
teaching modifications that capitalize on this positive energy to enhance learning outcomes and
maintain the positive atmosphere. Conversely, If the majority of students are experiencing a negative
mood, the system would suggest appropriate teaching modifications to help improve the atmosphere
and engagement in the classroom
