Shapechanger. The weretiger can use its

hybrid or into a tiger, or back into its true
form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other

weretiger moves at least 15 feet straight
toward a creature and then hits it with a claw
attack on the same turn, that target must
succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw
or be knocked prone. If the target is prone,
the weretiger can make one bite attack
against it as a bonus action.

Check out Matt Mercer's "Blood Hunter"

class. Order of the Lycan kicks in at level
3. It plays more like a Witcher than a
traditional werebeast, but looks
interesting. I suppose it's up to the DM if
you start at level one as a lycanthrope. Only
problem is that it's time-limited, so you
can't be a weretiger the whole time.

You could take the Shifter race and adopt

this form, negotiating the way it works in-
game with the DM.

I am currently playing a Bloodhunter Order

of the Lyncan, and it is similar to a one hour
barbarian rage feature with a bonus to AC.
You can only use it once per short rest,
(and there is a chance that you go full
bloodlust werewolf) but that is usually
enough to pull off most dungeon crawls at
this level.

I mean for DnD werecreatures the moon

doesn't affect them much, it might make
them more "jumpy" but that's it

Multiple years ago, I saw a Dragon

Magazine article about Lycanthrope and it
being an actual class. Is that over now?
I played a Monk of Kelemvor and was a
Were-Tiger. He embraced the 'curse' and
used to change into Hybrid form for the
bigger \ghts. Is this playable again? DO I
have to multiclass? I'm just getting back
into D&D after many years... I could use the
help. Thanks

Shifters are not quite lycanthropes though,

they're watered down a little. They take on
more bestial traits, but they themselves are
not losing control due to a curse.

In my campaign there is a non-player

character who's a Weretiger, he's a retired
warrior, and currently is a grumpy tavern
keeper.

Anyone looking to play a lycanthrope id

recommended van richtens treatise on
lycanthropy, on dm's guild

I dont see why that couldn't be some really

funny curse. The party meets a human
begging for a cure for some horrible
ailment, after getting Remove Cursed it
turns out he was an elf the whole time.
