VOCABULARY
Read the text and answer the following vocabulary questions:
Sara was excited and nervous as she got ready for her first
day of school. She put on her new clothes and shoes and packed
her backpack with her lunch and school supplies. When she
arrived at school, she saw lots of other children and felt
overwhelmed. But her teacher greeted her with a smile and
helped her to find her desk. As the day went on, Sara made new
friends and enjoyed learning new things. By the end of the day,
she was exhausted but happy and couldn't wait to come back to
school the next day to learn and play with her new friends.
Comprehension
Read the text and answer the following questions:
Jack woke up early, jittery and thrilled for his first camping
trip with friends. He quickly packed his backpack with essentials
and set off for the forest. Arriving at the campsite,
surrounded by towering trees and chirping birds, Jack felt a
rush of excitement. Despite some initial nerves, his friends'
cheerful greetings put him at ease. As they pitched tents and
gathered firewood, Jack's worries faded away. Sitting around
the campfire, sharing stories and roasting marshmallows, Jack
realized he was having the time of his life. Exhausted but
content, he crawled into his sleeping bag, already looking
forward to the next camping adventure with his friends.
How did Jack feel by the end of the trip, and what was
he looking forward to?
