BACKGROUND
There is a surge in the uptake of drugs by learners and this has caused lots of problems in Schools and
Community at large
CALA: The CALA has two parts A&B which you are supposed to complete
1.TEACHERS GUIDE
PART: A
- Research on the Substance that are being abused in the society you live
-Research on the problems caused by drugs
-Find Solutions to drug abuse
- You can record or make notes
-list any 5 drugs common in your area
-research on the effect of each drug listed above
PART :B
-Design a poster on an A4 page on the preventive measures on any one of the drugs or on any Substance
abuse you have identified
- Write notes or explain orally about your Poster or illustrations.
2.LEARNERS GUIDE
-List any 5 common drugs in your Community
-Research on the effect of each drug
-Design a poster on an A4 paper on the preventive measure on any of the drugs or Substance abused
you have identified
3.HOW YOU WILL BE ACCESSED: The Cala has 20 Mark's
- To access your presentation the teacher will Consider your research materials, explanations about
your illustrations or Poster that you have designed (2marks)
- Listing of any 5 Common drugs in your Community (5marks)
-Notes of the effects of each drug above (10marks)
-Designed preventive Poster (3marks)
