Note:

(1) A patent confers the right upon an inventor to commercially exploit an invention for a limited period
of time. Patent can be lost by disclosure of the details of an invention to the public before the filling
of a patent. Unlike copyright, patent is not an automatic right. To obtain a patent, the proposed
invention should be novel (not published elsewhere), inventive (not obvious to person familiar with
the state of art) and industrially applicable (should have utility). Once the patent is sealed, the
patentee can sue for damages anyone who attempts to exploit the patented invention without the
consent of the patentee.
