Nairah, a three-year-old girl, has always been sick, she had failed to gain any weight and was
always tired and crying. During her 6-monthly visit to the hospital, the doctor wanted to know
the food she has been feeding on, and a sample was brought to him. He labeled it P. He
recommended a different food material for Nairah for the next months and gave her month the
sample labeled Q. During their next visit to the hospital, Nairah’s health had greatly improved
and she had gained at least 5kgs of weight.
Task:
You are provided with samples of food solutions P and Q. You are required to investigate the
nature of these food substances to determine why solution Q was able to promote Nairah’s
recovery and explain why this food combination is good for growing children

Item 2
During a biology lesson, Mr. Yeeko ordered students to collect some specimens from their
environment, Hoozambe managed to trap some specimens. Due to the limited time in the field,
he didn’t manage to identify the specimens but he label them Q, R, S, and T. As Hoozambe was
observing the specimens, his classmate Jayden approached him, looking puzzled. "Hey,
Hoozambe, I'm confused about specimen S. How does it survive in the environment?" Jayden
asked. "And what's with specimen R? I can't figure out what part of it enables it to fly!",
Hoozambe has contacted you to help classify the specimens using biological principles and also
prepare a report for him to present in the next biology class as required by the teacher. The
teacher requires them to classify the specimens in their kingdom, phylum, and class. He also
wanted them to include the reasons for putting the specimens in each taxon. The teacher also
demands that they note some characteristics on the specimens and prepare an identification key
for easy identification of the specimens during the lesson.
Task
a) Prepare a report that Hoozambe will present in the next biology lesson.
