Topic: - WAR & PEACE
War and Peace both have been main theme of human history. This
Article investigates causes and effects of WW1 and WW2, economic
impact on countries, roles of women’s, impacts on
different regions, finally it reflects how future generations can
contribute to lasting peace.
Primary causes of World War I and World
War II
World War I;
World War I's main trigger was the assassination of Archduke Franz
Ferdinand, which led to widespread conflict.
Key causes included nationalism, creating aggressive competition;
imperialism, sparking rivalry over colonies; militarism, with nations
amassing large armies; and alliances, where secret pacts caused
countries to join the escalating war.
World War 2;
World War II started largely due to unresolved issues from World
War I and the rise of dictators. Germany, Italy, and Japan wanted to
expand their power and territory, leading to aggression against other
countries. Key causes included economic hardship, intense
nationalism, militarism, and weak responses from other nations,
which allowed conflict to grow. The war officially began in 1939 when
Germany invaded Poland, bringing multiple countries into the fight.
Economic impacts on allies;
The World Wars had massive economic impacts. Countries spent huge
amounts on soldiers, weapons, and supplies, leading to heavy debts and
weakened economies. Many factories and cities were destroyed,
especially in Europe, which slowed down recovery and economic growth.
High unemployment rates. The wars also shifted global power, making the
United States an economic leader while Europe struggled to rebuild its
economies.
Women roles change during and after the wars;
During the wars, women took on many jobs traditionally held by men,
such as working in factories, serving in military roles, and becoming
nurses. This change showed their skills and importance in the
workforce. After the wars, although some women returned to
traditional roles, many continued to work and fight for equal rights,
leading to greater opportunities in education and employment.
Different countries and regions experience the
wars differently;
Germany: Suffered extensive bombings and destruction.
Japan: Faced atomic bombings and a complete surrender.
Soviet Union: Endured immense casualties and destruction.
United States: Experienced economic growth.
Africa and Asia: Many regions saw independence movements rise.
Future peoples contribution;
Future generations can learn from the past by encouraging diplomacy,
global cooperation, and education about how to resolve conflicts.
Focusing on human rights, equality, and addressing root causes of
conflict, such as poverty and oppression, are important steps toward a
more peaceful world.
