In these cases, the government has the power to change and make an action, especially for the
environmental cases such as illegal logging and water pollution. They should have that action
implementation and the help to those community who are facing the same cases because they
have that what we called authority. Importing functions or penalties will be useful and assigning
persons to the task whose living in that area to always monitor the area because if they also
assign official whose living in other places, he/she cannot monitor it time to time. Upon
cauthing actions like illegal logging, report immediately to the authority for them to make an
action.
On other cases such as employee's action, the LGU should take responsible for all those
employees who act inappropriate like not following the dress code or misuse the office supplies
and accepting money from people which should not be tolerated. Additionally, we have
responsibilities at the office and all things at the office should be used for the office only and
follow the rules that are imposed by the employers. It is also applicable for always having an
orientation once a month for the evaluation of the performances of all employees; so that, they
would be aware of their actions. But, there cases like the employers are the one who does not
follow the rules or the dress code, so I think there is also a function for them because they are
the role model and they should be emulated in their actions.
Nevertheless, we are all responsible for all the actions and environmental issues not because
we are working at the office but because we are people who are affected on the environmental
cases such as water pollution and illegal logging. These are the common cases in our areas and I
believe that we do not need to wait for the government's action to clean or avoid these kind of
cases because we are the one who is responsible. I mean we act for our environment because
those officials are living in a clean place, so they could not understand our situation. Let us not
waste our time for our own safety and clean environment.
As part of the community, I think if we are working at the office like LGU, we have to think that
we are responsible for the office supplies at the office to use the properly for the public service
purposes and not for personal purposes. It is really evident that we have no rights to misuse
them because using it personally is considered misuse. Assisted from that, a public servant
should be fair and never accept any gift or money from the people to avoid unfair treatment for
the people.
