INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATE
Occupation: Information Technology Support Service Level II
1. For Qualification-based assessment, you are to perform all the projects in this
package together with the written tests.
2. For competence-based assessment, you are required to perform the specific project/s
where the competencies to be certified are included.
3. Read the Project package/s and Written test (if applicable) properly.
4. All your questions and clarifications should be addressed to the assessor only.
5. Complete the task/project described in the project package.
6. You are given fifteen (15) minutes reading time and the number of hours allocated for
each project is indicated in the project Information Sheet.
7. After you finish this assessment, you are required to submit all the project packages
and written tests questions provided to you.
8. You are allowed to use your tools/ instruments with the permission of the Assessor,
and this must be presented to the assessor before start of the test.
9. After you finish the assessment, you are required to sign the Competency Assessment
Results Summary, and return to the stock room all the tools and materials borrowed.
10. You are also required to clean up your work station after completion of your work.

Project Information
Given the necessary tools, equipment and information, you are expected to perform the
following Four projects.
The assessor should ask oral questions on which s/he is not satisfied by yours performance
Assessment Venue:Well Equipped Assessment Centre or real work place
Total time for all projects 3:30 Hrs
Project 1: Dissembling and assembling computer hardware and apply problem
solving techniques
Total time for the project: 40 min

3. EIS ITS2 08 0811 Apply Problem Solving Techniques to Routine Malfunction
Instruction: Under this project you are expected to perform the following two tasks based
on the information provided.
Task 1: Disassemble and reassemble the Computer Case, Hard Disk, Jumper, RAM,
NIC/Modem and Data cable/Bus of your computer
Time allotted: 25 min
Instruction: Under this task, you should be provided a full functional computer and he/she
will expect to identify necessary equipments and disassemble and reassemble the devices
listed above following the standard computer maintenance procedure with all safety
measures. Test the computer if fully functional after reassembling parts of the computer.
Task 2: Change Printer Cartilage and feed paper
Time allotted: 15 min
Instruction: Under this task, you should have to insert printer cartilage into proper location
and feed paper to the printer machine.

Project 2: Access and use the internet
Total time for the project: 0:30 min

Instruction: Under this project you are expected to perform the following three tasks
based on the information provided.
Task 1: Install the browser (Google chrome/ Mozilla)
Time allotted: 15 min
Instruction: - Under this task, you should have to install new browser type on his/her
computer.
Task 2: Change browser history setting to delete temporary files, history and cookies
to change on exit.
Time allotted: 5 min
Instruction: - Under this task you should have to change the browser setting to delete
temporary files on exit.
Task 3: Add http://www.abc@xyz.com to restricted site.
Time allotted: 10 min
Instruction: - Under this task you should have to add the stated site to restricted site lists.
Project 3: Administrate Network and Hardware Peripherals
Total time for the project: 1:05 hours

Instruction: Under this project you are expected to crimp the given UTP cable with the
appropriate crimping color code, connect each computer or to the provided hub/switch with
this cable, configure the computer with appropriate IP address and add the shared printer
from the network.
Task 1: Crimp a given UTP cable and test it and Connect computers and/or
hub/switch with those cables.
Time allotted: 20 min
Instruction: - Under this task candidate should crimp the cable and connect the two
computers, install drivers and check local area network.
Task 2: Configure the computer with appropriate IP address
Time allotted: 20 min
Instruction: - Under this task you should configure the computers with IP address and any
other appropriate network configuration.
Task 3: Use the recommended command to see your TCP/IP setting of each work
station and fill the blank table below.
Time allotted: 5 min

Project 4: Operating a Database
Total time for the project: 1:15 hours

Instruction: under this project you are supposed and assigned to create new database for
Bridge Hotel. Database Name Bridge having the following four tables
(Booking, Credit Card, Customer, and Room).
Task 1: Create four tables structure under bridge database
Time allotted: 0:20 min
Instruction: Under this task you are expected to create tables by performing the following
activities based on the information provided.
Booking (book ID, Arrival Date, checkout room customer ID, satellite TV required
(night))
Credit Card (card no, Expire date, card holder Name)
Customer (customer ID, First Name, Town, Telephone)
Room (Room No, Room Type, price per night, satellite TV required (night)))
Task 2: Create Form for the Above Four Table and insert three data’s for each

Task 5: Create the Report for the Query you design on Task 4.
