Apart from the regular class and resuming from the festival break
1) Lakshya + destep class collaborated took special class session : mental health that ended with fun
activity , 53 children loreto entally
2) Basketball day out match with 50 kids and 17 vols
3) Les took first aid training session with kids 53 children loreto entally
4) Nmms kids gave the exam, the kids were trained individually online class
4) lakshya and kanini celebrated diwali in their own class through ms paint and origami
5) kanini avm 20 volunteers
6) step piloted at 2 learning centres
7) stem meeting where 25 volunteers came
8) before Christmas break, artoons took initiative to fund raise 2000 rs, conducted a quilling
workshop with support from team les for 15 chidren
9 ) 2 girls gave their nmms exam from 2 different centre whom we supported, helped with form fill
up and taught
10) identified and started one new ignite centre
Ownership
Ignite stem lbs took initiatives to talk with centre management, explained stem concept to them and
helped in piloting stem in Kolkata
Collaboration
Laksya collaborated with The Period Protection ,FabPad , Global Shapers Kolkata, conducted
menstrual hyegiene session involving 30 girls at loreto bowbazar
Nurturing
lakshya team is taking special effort to do regular classes with kids at a learning centre apart from
their ignite class , they are not taking any attendance for these class
Kanini and spo vol are trying to teach class three 12 nios board kids computer and home science ,
who are repeating this year so they can clear the exam,
Stories of change
Niyati a Kolkata destep lb took ownership to take kid to nmms exam centre when centre
management requested us for help at very last moment as her mother could not come due to
sudden emergency and no on from centre management was available, the centre was at a very odd
location, road were blocked due to marathon, she was determined and took ownership to support,
while ensuring the safety of the child. Ignite Kolkata lbs led by Akshita, Rupa cumulatively
brainstormed taught supported and supported kids for nmms exam this year.
Support in raising funds , support in planning for a small scale dance competition between inter
shelter home kid. Support in obtaining functional laptops for kanini, yantra.
