Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited (TSDPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel, is the pioneer
and a leader in the organized steel processing and distribution market. Tata Steel Downstream Products
Limited was originally set up in 1997 as Tata Ryerson Ltd., a joint venture between Tata Steel of India and
Ryerson Inc. of USA. In 2009, Tata Steel acquired the entire equity of Ryerson Inc. and thus was born TSDPL.
With 10 large processing units, 15 distribution locations and a host of partners like external processing
agencies, suppliers and other stakeholders, today TSDPL is India’s largest steel service centre organization.
TSDPL was created to bring Steel Service Centre solutions for the first time to industrial customers and is
the first organized Steel Service Centre capable of high tensile steel processing in India.
Such centres, a popular and time-tested concept in industrially developed countries around the world, was
hitherto unknown to the value-seeking Indian industrial customers.
Thus, the foundation of a new emerging industry was laid by TSDPL, which continues to follow its avowed
mission of building a trusted and irreplaceable bridge between steel producers and steel consumers.
TSDPL emerged to bridge the service gap between steel mills and end customers, providing processing,
inventory management and distribution services. Since inception, TSDPL has consistently led the growth of
organized steel service centres in India blazing newer trails.
The Company caters to a broad spectrum of industries and has emerged as one of the leading Automotive
Steel Suppliers. Apart from Automotive segment, we cater to segments like Appliances, Lifting & Excavation,
General Engineering, Panels, Project & Fabrication & many more.
Our Product basket includes Hot Rolled Coils & Sheets, Hot Rolled Pickled & Oiled Coils & Sheets, Cold Rolled
Coils & Sheets, Galvanized Coils & Sheets, Burnt to Shape Components & Fabricated Components.
