Story writing: it is a technique in which creates a series of events

with his creativity.s

What is story?
A story is description of connected series of events. It may be either true or
imagined.
Do you remember the time, when you were kid and waiting for your grand Mother to speak and
you were fully attentive what she used to tell? Yes a story.
So, a story is nothing but a description of events that accutly happened or that are invented It
may be either true or imagined.

Why story writing is important to learn?

There are two main reasons for it:

1. IMAGINATION
It trains us to imagine and easily express our thought

2. FOCUS
Stories stick to our mind easily.so we become more focused while any story is being
said. So, story writing is very important art to learn.

There are so five elements of the story

1. Plot
Build a sequence of events that is straightforward but also able to surprise the reader
with twist.

2. Characters
Create complex and relatable character types and traits for example good bad neutral
etc.

3. Theme- sprinkle your story’s “big idea” or underlying message about life into the details

4. Point of view – pick who is telling your story. E.g first person I , 2 nd person you , and third
person he she it etc.

5. Tone- established a general feeling for the story with vivid word choice. For example
sad, happy etc.

The main and foremost thing in story writing is its plot

So I am going to discuss the elements of plot, they are five in numbers enumerated as
follows:

Setting:
Exposition or setting occurs at the beginning, introduces the main characters, setting etc. in
simple words it is the starting point of story. I am going to narrate a story which I used as an
example to make you understand.
In the busy city of Lahore, Nurse Seema worked at MIU Hospital. She was known for her caring
nature and hard work. The hospital was always full of people needing help, and Seema loved
being there for them.

Rising Action:
Rising action is the main part of the story which includes the problem .so further explaining the
story the rising action would be,
One evening, a big storm hit the city, causing a power outage. The hospital’s backup generators
turned on, but the storm also caused a major car accident nearby. The emergency room was
suddenly crowded with injured people. Seema, even though her shift was ending, decided to
stay and help. A young boy named Zeeshan was brought in with serious injuries. Seema made
sure he got immediate care.

Climax:
Moving towards the third part of the plot which is climax. Climax is the turning part of the story
usually the most exciting or surprising part of the story. So the climax of our story will be:
As the night went on, Zeeshan's condition got worse. The hospital staff was overwhelmed, and
the backup power was starting to fail. They needed to operate on Zeeshan right away, but the
operating room's power was unstable. Seema quickly came up with a plan to use battery-
powered lights. The surgery team, guided by Seema’s idea, went ahead with the operation. As
they worked, the lights flickered, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

Falling Action:
Falling action is the events that follow the climax leads to the resolution. As in our story case the
falling action will be:
The surgery was tense, but thanks to Seema’s quick thinking, they managed to stabilize
Zeeshan. As the storm eased and the power came back, the hospital staff began to relax.
Seema, tired but relieved, stayed with Zeeshan as he woke up, telling him he would be okay.
Resolution:
The final stage is resolution. Resolution is the end of the story where all the loose ends are tied
up. Sometimes the story writer create a happy ending, sometimes he wish to create a sad
Ending and sometime it is mystery. Now it’s up to the writer. So in my story I want it to be
different end by creating a question for you
In the following days, Zeeshan got better, but he remained oddly quiet. One evening, as Seema
was about to leave, she found a small note on her locker. It read, "Thank you for saving me. But
the storm isn't over yet." Seema looked around, puzzled and a little scared. Who left the note?
What did it mean? As she walked to her car, the wind started to pick up again, and dark clouds
gathered on the horizon, leaving Seema with a sense of unease and a question that lingered:
was it just a storm, or was something more coming?
