Chapter 2:

 Methodology:
This research employs a quantitative approach to explore the
relationship between leisure activities and stress levels among
senior high school students. Using a systematic methodology, it
aims to provide a thorough examination of the factors involved,
ensuring a rigorous and reliable analysis. The study will focus on
gathering numerical data to assess whether a significant
correlation exists between leisure activity participation and stress
levels. A sample of 130 students will be selected through
purposive sampling, with a focus on students who actively
participate in various leisure activities, as well as those who
report minimal engagement. Data will be collected via a self-
administered survey and questionnaire, designed to capture
relevant information for analysis.

 Statistical Tools:
The data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, including
the Mean, Standard Deviation, and Pearson’s r Correlation.

1. Mean – The mean will be calculated to determine the average

stress levels among students who engage in leisure activities
and those who do not.

2. Standard Deviation – This will be used to measure the

variability or spread of stress scores around the mean. A
smaller standard deviation indicates more consistent stress
levels within a group.

3. Pearson’s r Correlation – This will assess the strength and

direction of the relationship between the number of hours
spent on leisure activities and the stress levels of students.
