Job Summary:
The IT Incharge will be responsible for managing the hospital's IT infrastructure, systems, and
services to support the delivery of high-quality patient care, administrative functions, and
operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic vision
to drive innovation and ensure the security and reliability of IT operations.
Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of
the hospital's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, storage, and
telecommunications systems. Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance optimization to
meet current and future operational needs.
Systems Administration: Manage the configuration, administration, and support of
enterprise software applications, including electronic health records (EHR), patient
management systems, billing systems, and administrative platforms. Ensure data integrity,
system availability, and user access controls.
Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and
protocols to protect sensitive patient information, electronic health records, and other
confidential data. Implement security measures such as firewalls, encryption, access
controls, and intrusion detection systems to mitigate cyber threats and ensure compliance
with regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).

IT Support and Helpdesk: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to
hospital staff for hardware, software, and network issues. Coordinate with internal IT team
members and external vendors to resolve escalated technical issues in a timely manner.
Maintain a responsive and customer-focused IT helpdesk service.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans,
backup procedures, and contingency measures to minimize downtime and data loss in the
event of system failures, natural disasters, or cyber attacks. Conduct regular testing and drills
to validate the effectiveness of recovery strategies.
Technology Evaluation and Adoption: Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and industry
best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the
hospital organization. Recommend and implement technology solutions that enhance
patient care, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, contractors, and service
providers to negotiate contracts, procure hardware/software, and coordinate project
implementations. Monitor vendor performance, service level agreements (SLAs), and
compliance with contractual obligations.
Training and Education: Provide training, education, and support to hospital staff on the use
of IT systems, software applications, and cybersecurity best practices. Promote IT literacy
and awareness to enhance productivity, efficiency, and security across departments.
Education qualification :-

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (Master's
degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital
setting.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare applications (e.g.,
Cerner, Epic, Meditech).
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or certifications from leading EHR vendors
are desirable.
Skills & knowledge :-
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of healthcare IT regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., HIPAA, HL7,
DICOM).
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and
project management.
