My name is Wenceslao Lacaze and I’ve been working as a SAP
basis Administrator and Solution Manager Consultant for the last 8
years.
I’m a Techno-Functional SAP Solution Manager Subject Matter
Expert (SME), I Design, Build and Implement the product using “Run
Sap” Methodology.
I have developed a very extended experience with medium and
large scaled SAP installations in several (multi)national
environments.
I am based in Argentina, but work all around the World.

Patch MaxDB Database
Check the database Version
In the Database Manager right click in the server Properties..
Download the Patchs
Download the last Patch for http://service.sap.com/patches
DownloadsDatabase PatchesMaxDB and SAP DBMaxDB 64BIT
Download the Server Package and the Application Runtime Package

Shutdown the Sap System
Shutdown Sap System Shutdown the Database
Start the Patch process
You need to patch the 2 component: Server / Runtime
Patch Applications Runtime
Uncar the Patch files and Run H:\patch\maxdb-as_runtime-win-64bit-x86_64-
7_6_04_11\SDBSETUP.exe
Select Start Installation/Upgrade Icon Select the server Package Folder and
Next..

Select the Component Group (Client) Control the Summary of Installation..
and Next..
Now wait until the preparation end.. Yes..
Wait until the end of the patch process. At the end you can check the Log

Patch Server
Uncar the Patch files and Run H:\patch\maxdb-server-win-64bit-x86_64-
7_6_04_11\SDBSETUP.EXE
Select Start Installation/Upgrade… Select Server+Client and Next..
Select Install/Update Software only and Select Existing Database Kernel..
Next.

Check the Summary and Install..
Wait until the Installation end .. At the end you can check the Log.
