ASSESSOR FOR bread and pastry production NC II. WELCOME TO
NARVACAN ACADEMY TRAINING CENTER INC.The assessor must
wear his/ her ID card as a proof of his/her accreditation)This is my
Identification Card as a proof of my accreditation.
I would like to acknowledege the presence of ________ AC MANAGER
school supervisor and _____________ our representative from TESDA
PROVINCIAL OFFICE.
You do not have to worry about their presence. They are here to oversee the
conduct of Competency Assessment and to check if the conduct is in accordance
with the prescribed competency assessment methodology and procedures. They are
not the one who will assess you anyway.
Before I stat, let me check first the attendance

I have with me your accomplished self assessment guide.
This is an indication that you know and can perform all the units of
competency enumerated in this qualification.
(Self assessment guide was given to the candidate by the processing officer of
the assessment center)
The competency assessor gives the overview of the Qualification to be
assessed:
Today, I am going to administer COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT FOR
Bread and Pastry Production. It is the Qualification Level with Competencies. And
it has 5 Core Competencies namely;
- Prepare and produce bakery products
- Prepare and produce pastry products
- Prepare and present gateaux, tortes and cakes
- Prepare and display petit fours
- Present dessert
The purpose of this assessment among you is to officially qualify you to
have your Bread and Pastry NC II with the aforementioned competencies.
This qualification corresponds to the Philippine TVET Qualification
Framework. This assessment is also conducted to prepare you for national
qualification and a requirement for graduation in the senior high school of
the K-12 curriculum.

These benchmarks for assessment were developed by TESDA.
These assessment processes is implemented in consistent manner.
Assessment process will produce high quality and consistent outcomes.
In order to meet every candidate’s needs, you may call my attention should I
translate the English texts into vernacular language. Should you need
adjustment in the assessment area if you need ventilation feel free to inform
me.
I am also requiring you to use your personal protective equipment (PPE) to
prevent hazard and maintain safety in the assessment area. If there is
someone here who is not feeling well, I do encourage you to stay out and
please have the assessment on later date when you are already in good
health.
All information about this assessment shall be confidential and it’s only me
who is knowledgeable on your entries. The result of this assessment will be
kept to me and the authorized agency which is TESDA and MRH TRAINING
SCHOOL.
This is to remind you that you are not pressured here to be assessed.
The decision here is not done to favour somebody’s request but based solely
on the result of your performance and assessment peers.
In case some of you will be judges as not yet competent and you believe that
you are competent, you may file an appeal for reassessment to gain an
independent second opinion.

Ok, there being none, I will now distribute the Competency Assessment
Agreement sheets. Please read the instructions and answer and check the
required box for your answers. Affix your signature to the prescribed area.
Don’t forget to put the date. Feel free to ask me if there is something you
cannot understand.
The assessment will be done in three methods: written exam, demonstration
and oral interview. Each method of assessment shall vary on duration.
The Written Exam and interview will be conducted here, while the
Demonstration will be conducted in the assessment area adjacent to this
room.

(PERFORM THE TASK) WITHIN ____1 hour___ I WILL BE
OBSERVING YOU WHILE YOU ARE PERFORMING THE TASKS.
2. AND I WILL ASK YOU SOME QUESTIONS RELATED TO YOUR
DEMONSTRATION.
3. YOU MAY CALL ME WHEN THERE IS A NEED FOR ME TO
TRANSLATE OR EXPLAIN ITEMS FOR CLARIFICATION.
4. AFTER THE QUESTIONING PORTION, I WILL GIVE YOU
FEEDBACK ABOUT YOUR PERFORMANCE.
5. ANY QUESTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS? IF THERE ARE NO MORE
QUESTIONS, YOU MAY START NOW. (THE ASSESSOR SETS THE
