Materials
2 skeins Luster Sheen (2 oz) in main color
Small amount Luster Sheen in contrasting color
You can substitute Luster Sheen for a size 3 thread of your choice. Or use two strands of size 10 thread
held together as one.
Steel crochet hook size 3 (2.10mm)
Skill Level
Intermediate
Stitches Used
Ch, sc, dc, sl st, V-Stitch, Shell
Note: This pattern is designed to be one size fits most. I made it where you can increase the cup size
and the amount of coverage on the Rear. You can hand sew a cloth liner in if you wish. Just cut the
fabric a little larger than the area you want to line, tuck in the raw edges of fabric a small amount as
you stitch around the edges. Small stitches with matching sewing thread are all but invisible when you
are done. Use safety pins to hold the fabric in place and remove when you are done.

Do Not Turn
At end of Row 2, ch 1 and work sc evenly all around, joing with a sl st in beg sc. Do not turn. Ch 3, and
dc in each sc around, working 3 dc in corners, join with sl st in beg ch 3. Do not turn. Ch 1, sc in each
dc along long side until you get to the bottom corner of triangle. This is where the thong part will
begin. Ch 65, sc in 10th ch from hook and each ch down to triangle. Sc around the other long side of
triangle and across the top, join with a sl st in first sc. FASTEN OFF.
Ties
(make 3 in contrasting color)
Ch 300, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Fasten off.
Back Flap (Rear Cover)
Ch 52
Row 1: Work 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, [skip 2 chs, sc in next ch, skip 2 chs, 5 dc in next ch] rep across,
ending with 3 dc in last ch. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 2: Skip first 3 dc, [sc in next sc, ch 2, sc in 3rd dc of shell, ch 2] rep across row, ending with skip
last 2 dc, sc in top of turning ch. Turn.
Row 3: Sc in first st, [5 dc in next st, sc in next sc] rep across row, ending with sc in bottom of turning
ch. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 4: Sc in 3rd dc of first shell, [ch 2, sc in next sc, ch 2, sc in 3rd dc of next shell] rep across, ending
with sc in last st. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 5: 2 dc in first sc, [sc in next sc, 5 dc in next sc] rep across row, ending with 3 dc in bottom of
turning ch. Ch 3 and turn.
Repeat rows 2 – 5 until piece is long enough for you.
At end of last row, sc across the sides and top of piece. Do not work across the bottom. Instead, ch 3
and turn, working dc in each sc across the side, top, and other side. Do not work across the bottom.
Instead, ch 1 and turn, working sc in each dc across the one side, ch 5, skip one st, and beg dc, ch 1,
skip one st, across the top of piece. At corner, ch 5, and sc across the final side of piece. Fasten off.
To complete bottom, thread one tie through the thong loop. To use the Rear Cover thread one end of tie
through the top of Rear Cover ( the row with the dc, ch 1 spaces) starting in the middle. Thread the
other end of tie through the top of Rear Cover starting in the middle. This leaves the thong loop in the
center, underneath the Rear Cover and the ties come out the side of the Rear Cover.
Thread one more tie through the front piece of the bottom, going through the upper row of dc stitches.
Bra Cups
For each bra cup you will need one of the Basic Triangles you made above. Attach yarn with a sc in any
corner, work sc evenly all around cup, join in beg sc with a sl st. Do not turn. Ch 3, and dc in each sc
around, working 3 dc in corners, join with sl st. Do not turn. Ch 3, and dc in each dc around, working
5 dc in corners, join with sl st. You may rep dc rnds until cup size is as you like it. Final rnd is with sc,
making a ch of 75 at upper corner of cup (for tie) and sc back down the ch and around the rest of the
cup. Fasten off.
Thread the final tie through the bottom of cups, going through the final row of dc stitches.
Congratulations, you are all done working and ready to go have some fun!

Pattern and photos by Sandi Hagan
Row 1 showing V-stitches Row 2 has shells worked in top of V-stitches
Row 4 – we aren't working in the sl sts so rows Row 8 showing 2 shells worked in top of V-
are shorter now stitches—rows are a lot shorter now—last st is sc,
still not working in sl sts from previous rows
Row 11—since we are working on the bottoms we Here we have completed row 17, flipped the piece
are going to keep going after this row. If this was to start working opposite side of beg ch row. This
one of the bra cups, we'd fasten off here. is Row 2 and I'm ready to start edging the entire
piece with sc
Now we have worked a rnd of sc, a rnd of dc, then
worked sc along the one long side and made the
ch for the thong, came back along the ch with sc,
and continued around the rest of the triangle with
sc and fastened off. Weaved in any loose ends. We
have a loop on end of that thong to run a waist tie
through and can weave another waist tie through
the dc stitches on the front—every other dc works
out well for me.
