IFEX Reaction Paper
The moment we enter the World Trade Center for the IFEX event, I have been shocked
and amazed on how vast and expensive it looks. That is the first time I have ever see and been
there so it is no doubt that I get so overwhelm quickly. Moving forward, as I enter the
establishment, I have seen a lot of different people and we have walk accidentally towards the VIP,
Media, Coordinators and other important lanes before we’ve been able to reach the participants
lane. The people from those lanes look really important and they are wearing suits and tie and they
have brief case; the others have big cameras and some lighting equipment. As we complete the
registration, admission, and payment we get to have a paper that could map out the booths and on
how the event would work, we also obtain a bag that at first, I don’t know what it is made but it
has a thick and different texture than the paper and plastic bag. Later on, as I have read the content
of the bag, it is made from 100% cassava which blast my mind, and at the back of my mind I have
a question like, how can it be possible to have a transparent bag that is made from a cassava?
As we enter the event proper, we sticked our nametag to our right chest and proceed to
move forward to the booths. I have seen many women in mermaid costumes and they are preparing
for their speeches. As we walk throughout the event place, it is filled with various and distinct
kiosk that has their own ways on promoting and attract people towards their products. One booth
their has a spinning wheel that has prices attached into it and if you’ll be able to get lucky you may
win a product of them. I thought that they will only give free taste towards their products but they
are actually selling their products. They have promo and discounts for the people who are within
the facility. It is fun and I really enjoyed roaming and observing the place, they have a really big
and wide area so that there is no human traffic when going in there. It has different nationality of
products and I actually encountered numerous Chinese people there and I have also met a pure
Japanese and Indian seller, even though we can’t communicate much we are still understanding a
little bit since they are so respectful and we execute gestures and a little bit of common English
words. The food is really tasty and delicious, especially the chocolate I have taste. It has a dark
chocolate and a tamarind inside and the other flavor is spicy. I get intrigued and surprise on how
it has a perfect combination and tastes really great. I have also taste one of the expensive beefs and
it is a Japanese beef. It really is tender and juicy that I want to get another one. There is also an
herbal energy drink, kangkong and malunggay chips, sardines, numerous beef and pork, hotdogs,
and literally a lot more. I actually attain some flyer and cards for some products.
There are a lot of parents and family attended and I am actually happy to witness how they
manage to celebrate Mother’s Day towards a meaningful exhibit. It is really fun and I have learned
a lot from going in the exhibit, I get to enjoy and filled myself with knowledge about businesses
at the same time.
