NB: GOLD AWARD. Students already holding a Gold account do not complete
this form or pay on parent pay again. Sixth form students wishing to complete
an expedition with Activ this academic year, sign up and pay them directly for
the expedition section. (Activ sign-up is document D)
Deadline for submitting form and paying to enrol on Duke of
Edinburgh Award on Parent pay: Tuesday 15th October 2024
If expedition section is being completed with Activ, please register by
Wednesday 09 October on their site.

Gold (Year 11 – 13) Year 11 register now and you will be able to access
your account when you are 16. Expedition takes place in Summer of Year 12.
Do not sign up for expedition (Activ) until the academic year of the expedition.
If you qualify for Nonsuch sixth form, you must stay at Nonsuch to access
expeditions run by Activ for Nonsuch students.
NB: you do not have to participate at all levels and can gain Direct entry at any
level providing you meet the age requirement. Current participants may
register for the next level prior to completion of current Award but may not
start any sections that are not complete on previous level. One section must be
completed as a minimum for next level to be added to their account.
Year groups assume minimum age on 1 Sept. is 13 for Bronze, 14 Silver, 15
Gold – but enrolment on 16th birthday.

Nonsuch participants have the option to complete the Expedition section
with Activ. Your expedition contract is with Activ if you do this and you must
complete the on-line enrolment and payment and confirm this below. If you
do not wish to join an Activ expedition then please state how you are going
to complete this section. Please read the Activ terms and conditions
carefully. The school is not liable for any financial commitments made to
Activ for the DofE Award.
Expedition costs are in addition to the enrolment costs.
Payments for registering to join the DofE Award at Nonsuch must be paid by
Parent Pay and are as follows**:

**Please Note:
Participant fees include the participant fee from the Duke of Edinburgh’s
Award, and a charge made by the school to cover the Licence fee and
administrative costs. It does not cover the costs of the Expedition
section, which must be paid separately.

Activ charges the following for the expedition section:

Bronze £245, Silver £325, Gold £400. (Not including train travel to the
sites.)
The school is not liable for any payments made to Activ.
Pupil Premium / Free School Meal students may receive some financial help for
the expedition section from the school. Please email doe@nonsuchschool.org if
you receive Free School Meals or Pupil Premium funding.

Note:
Data supplied on this form and in eDofE and information about DofE activities
recorded in eDofE will be used by the DofE Charity, the Licensed Organisation
and DofE centre to monitor and manage DofE participation and progress by
young people and manage and support Leaders.
The DofE Charity will use personal data to communicate useful and relevant
information to either help participants complete a DofE programme,
Leaders/LOs to run DofE programmes more effectively or help the DofE Charity
to improve the quality and breadth of its programmes.

We also send emails that contain information about the Charity, DofE
negotiated privileged discounts and invites to events and other activities
however if you would like to receive these emails you will need to opt in. Once
you have opted-in to this you can opt out at any time by visiting
www.dofe.org/preferences, or clicking the unsubscribe link that can be found at
the bottom of all non-programme related email.
When you first sign in to eDofE you will be asked to record some personal
details such as your contact details, ethnicity and personal circumstances
along with details of any medical needs you may have. This data is used to
enable your Leaders to support you doing your DofE programme and for the
DofE’s statistical and reporting purposes. You will always have a ‘prefer not to
say’ option.
Email competed form to doe@nonsuchschool.org once enrolment fee has
been paid on parent pay. Deadline Tuesday October 15th, 2024 Enrolments
will not be made until the fee is paid.
The expedition section requires a separate payment to the expedition provider.
The enrolment directly to Activ / alternative provider must also be
completed.
Note to parents: if your child is already a participant in the DofE
Award, please ask them to show you their eDofE account to see their
progress on the current Award. Accounts that are empty or
incomplete suggest a lack of engagement. Students must not sign up
just to go on the expedition.
